I've been playing exclusively Gunlance but I'm trying outer weapons to diversify myself. I took Switch Axe and Charge Balde, your build videos helped le to get some sets for myself
You can also use Protective Polish to constantly maintain Bludgeoner's buff up at all times if you are using a weapon with green sharpness. This is the perfect combination for a blugeoner build.
If the green sharpness was shorter i would defenitely recommend protective polish aswell 👍 Sadly in this case we would be loosing alot of damage if we made room to fit in protective polish. Both Bludgeoner Builds have 100 Units/Hits of Green sharpness. We'll only be sharpening once or max twice per hunt. Wich would give protective polish very little value overall here. But if you have room to fit it into your Build with out loosing any of the essential skills then it's a great option ofc! 👍
Dude I wasn’t sure if I would like the charge blade in this game, but I finally came around to start crafting a few of them. I crafted the rakna kadaki charge blade, and I just killed a jyuratodus in like 3 minutes! Idk if he even has good fire hitzones, but it worked really well. Even though the raw is quite low, it has good base affinity and got the job done. I have 100% affinity, critical boost 3, fire attack 5 and I pretty much exclusively used savage axe mode. I got a charm that’s rapid morph 2, evade extender 2 and that evade extender 2 helps a lot when doing the pizza cutter playstyle. I was able to easily out space attacks then come in with attacks of my own
Nice work ! Charge Blade in general works very well against Jyuratodus. And a well used elemental pizza cutter is pretty much like Cryptonite to him 😄 Enjoy your CB journey man, you're in for a fun ride! ^_^
@@YokaiNox Thanks man, yeah as it turns out Jyura is pretty resistant to fire but he still got destroyed, I also took out a royal ludroth in the same quest, they’re both kinda punching bags but it was fun nonetheless. Thunder is better on jyuratodus. I played CB in World and I liked it a lot but I didn’t like how you lose savage axe when sheathing your weapon in Rise, but since you can do it pretty much infinitely I think it balances out. It also requires a lot of skills, which is why i’ve been kinda reluctant to start crafting sets in high rank

I have my own build as well. My build is the Rampager. It utilizes the Rampage C. Blade S to have an all power build along with the power charm and power tallon for a swift ass kicking. And with the maxed out Valstrax armor decked out with 3 attack and 7 defence jewels along with the armor charm and armor tallon, I can combine them to become a walking fortress. Impossible to one shot, punish anyone who attempted it severely.
I only started with MH:W, but Charge Blade was an instant fit for me. Definitely going to be working on adding these builds to my loadouts in Rise before Sunbreak drops.
Saw this vid on recommended and wow this is some good stuff. Great work! Gonna try out your paralysis build, been kinda stale with all CB builds being Rajang or Narga only lol!

If garangolm has a CB i can see it keeping with the Chunky theme of his weapons. It would be cool if all his weapons had fire and water element, i predict they will have high raw and negative affinity

@@freddoesvox9033 I'm hoping there's something more to the GS in the ways of visuals for the elements. Hard to tell from the trailer. In theory they could start giving certain shields their own element aswell if it fits with the monster. That would open up quite a few more weapons for multi element.
@@YokaiNox due to my nature in games to play tanky so far enjoying wall of punishment. Though i might take a lvl 1 deco out and swap it with a diversion deco so the monster will face me more for a clear shot to the head.

Glad you're enjoying the content ^_^ 👍 Since the negative affinity only affects the physical hits from the weapon itself, and 90% + of our damage here is coming from Phials it's hardly noticable at all.
As someone who was a CB main in Iceborne, I see how some of your builds don't utilize Rapid Morph, isn't it a little annoying when you switch one CB build for another and the speed is completely different
A good question, but no. Actually not at all. Because Rapid Morph is completely incidental here! The Skill does hardly anything for us on CB right now, as there are very very few instances were you would actually switch the form of the weapon in a non-attack manner. The Skill doesnt speed up any of the actual relevant morphing attacks right now. it can basically be completely disregardet on CB right now. (It could realy use some improvements in Sunbreak!😅)

So I'm currently trying to make the buzz saw build when I got a little confused. One of the decorations just says Critical and I was wondering if you meant Critical Draw or Critical Eye.
@@YokaiNox I looked for it and couldn't find it in decorations, a Google search later and I found out I needed a part from an Apex Rathalos to unlock it. Anyways a struggle of a solo hunt later and I got the part and won the hunt. 2 faints and the final time being 49"24"86" and I've never felt more stressed in the game.

For the paralysis build I have all of the skills but I have lvl 2 paralysis attack and my phials only do 75 damage do yk why that might be? And I’m not doing as much damage as you are with the axe hopper and I have all of the needed skills and equipment. The builds are still great I’m just wondering if I’m doing something wrong
If your Phials are doing less damage you are defenitely missing something. Are you eating for the Bombardier Food Skill like i talk about at 3:10 in the Video ? It's a massive 15% DMG Boost to Impact Phials. I Also talk about using the Counter Morph Switch Skill. It adds 20% DMG for a short period of time when you Guard Point an Attack. Seems you might have missed some stuff in the Video ^^ For the missing Lv of Paralysis you mentioned, what kind of Talisman are you using for the Build ?

😄To each their own ! 😊 I prefer the Oldschool MH way were the games in general didnt show damage numbers. Most of my builds here arent about big numbers either ^_^
This'll be quite long answer^^ It's a Yes & No situation. It highly depends on what it is your doing. In most cases it's like i say in the video here, this build will be far more consistant in DPS than running this CB with full Valstrax. For a number of reasons: - This CB should be played with the Savage Axe Playstyle. Savage Axe is best with high Crit Builds, wich the full valstrax is not good for due to it's slot restrictions - ☝Same thing applies to sharpness managment The Slots make it difficult to fit in stuff & Savage Axe literally eats your sharpness ^^" - As opposed to this Build, where we have 30% more Affinity than on Valstrax + Lv 3 Master's Touch for Sharpness management. Valstrax ends up with 50% Affinity on weakspots with only Lv 2 Master's Touch This Build ends up with 80% on weakspots & Master's Touch Lv 3 It makes the sharpness last more than twice as long in most cases & landing crits much more consitent (wich makes a huge dps difference already + getting a small extra boost from crit element ontop) BUT, if you can fit all the essential skills into the full Valstrax Set & can consistantly keep Dragonheart active, then it will defenitely be the stronger choice. It will require a crazy good Talisman though. [Only run this CB with Valstrax Soul if you can get Lv 5 Dragon ATK in the Valstrax Set, otherwise it's a total Trap and ATK boost III will end up being better!]

@@jeremyg2236 For both of those yeah, Rampage Weapon + Paralysis Builds are some of the Top things you cn use. Specially for mutiplayer. only have to keep any eye out for those monsters that are hard to paralyse due to their resistance, like you pointed out 👍🏽(Even on some of those it still works very well if you play aggresively. That's why i usualy show that in the background footage aswell)
Just recently got back into rise and wanted to play it for a while before getting the dlc to see how I feel and found your video since I love cb and was working on the happy hopper build just a quick question the video says 3 artillery decos for it but doesn’t that give 4 point of artillery since the chest piece gives 1 point already or should I be using something like Vaik or Valstrax chest?
Awesome, enjoy getting back into the Hunt !💪🏽 Right on the money! You'll only need the 3 Artillery Decos if you decide to switch things up (If your Talisman leaves room for the Artillery Decos). An Example would be using Nargacuga Chest & taking out the Expert Deco (Since Narga Chest gives you +2 Crity Eye) That willl max out Crit Eye and leave you with some Free Slots to customize. You can ofc also drop the Artlliery completely if you decide to lean into the actual Raw hits of the CB itself. (I'd recommend a Mix of both Phial DMG & Raw though)
Nobody is saying you have to lol There is a Note in the Video that says the Rajang CB works perfectly for this Build. + I say in the video that i use it because i love being able to change the look of the Rampage CB to whatever we like ^_^
Hi, no problem all questions are welcome here ! ^_^ Wall of Punishment has less Guard skills ( Lv 2 Guard insted of Lv 3 & no Guard Up skill) But in exchange it gets Lv 2 Slugger (for easy KOs) & more Stun Resistance. You can use Rampage CB, Rajang CB, or Diablos CB with both of the Builds.
If you start with the largest Decos (Guardian - a Lv 3 Deco) everything else will fall into place by itself ^_^ Let me know if you have trouble placing them after trying this.
Meldet. Playing on Switch and for me personally editing Talismans would kinda destroy the endgame. That would be far from ideal for a edit Talisman aswell 😄 Players that edit would probabbly make it Bludgeoner 3 ATK Boost 3 (3-2-1) for max stats.
@@CijMags Luckily Bludgeoner 2 (2-2-0) arent very rare, so there's a pretty decent chance of getting something comparable or even more usefull that way aswell. Another substitude are the Tigrex Braces S depending on what you want on your build. They are insanley high value for Bludgeoner Builds in general.

Hey there Jico Bear ^_^ In that case, first of all, enjoy your CB journey !😁 Best pick for a beginner will be a bit depended on playstyle for this weapon type. As it changes quite a bit depending on if you want to use the Spinning Axe or Phials as your main Damage source. I would recommend making the Wall of Punishment & Buzz Saw Build to give both playstyles a shot and see wich is more up your ally. Or ofc end up using both playstyles 😄From there it's easy to transition into any of the other Builds if you enjoy it ! ^_^

It's a realy forgiving move with a big instant blocking window - perfect for learning the weapon and getting out of a potentially bad situation.
Hey 🖐The Decoration will unlock as you progress further into the game and hunt new monsters (It unlocks before you reach Sunbreak content). The items you will need to craft it are: - Beast Gem x 1 - Bishaten Tailcase+ x 2 - Goss Harag Horn+ x 2 - Bloodrun Jewel x 4
im using the same CB but it’s still showing some blue sharpness and a little bit of white, I have the exact same rampage skills, that’s weird.. it’s not showing the long green sharpness
The number infront of the x always indicates how many you need. For the names, you can you just change it at the blacksmith by pressing a button. You can pick between Decoration name & Skill name. (For example: Magazine = Load Shells Expert = Critical Eye)
There is a Note in the Video that tells you exactly how to get it 😄 You have to carry it over by upgrading. So before upgrading into the Tigrex Tree you have to add Silkbindboost to the Weapon. Then it will be carried over to the Tigrex CB.
Wich skills you use for CB is completely dependent on your playstyle. The only one that's unviverasl is Counter Peak Performance for Solo & Axe Hopper for Mutiplayer if you're playing with more than 2 people.
You have to craft the base Rampage C Blade S frist. When you've crafted and upgradet it you then add Sharpness Type II, Paralysis II & Attack Surge from the Ramp up menu at the Weapon Smith.
Pretty much everyone still uses it on builds that are meant for phial damage. You might not be noticing it because it works differently now. It no longer increases the amount of phials on CB. It now gives you full 5 phials from a yellow shield charge insted of 3, meaning you dont need to charge the shield to red. You'll see it on their skills like here as "Load Shells" Unless it's a Savage Axe playstyle build. The skill is pretty much useless there.
Ohhh ok I saw the load shells skill on some speed runners builds I had no idea it came from the magazine jewel I thought it was like world where you got an extra phial. Thank you for replying and you got some good builds I'll be using definitely want to try out that rampage weapon build.
You might be missing one of the materials to unlock it. Here's what you need for crafting it: 1x Beast Gem 2x Bishaten Tailcase + 2x Goss Harag Horn + 4x Bloodrun Jewel Some Decorations also only unlock when you've hunted the Monsters that drop the materials. Check if you've done a High Rank Goss Harag & Bishaten Quest aswell.
That's literally it, no Skills 😄 We use it alot because of it's Slots. They are so good that it gives us access to better Skills via Decos than we could get from any other part.

I am so sad all the builds I can find that look nice end up being that silly Buzz Saw mode… I prefer the Sword and Shield mode with Axe Damage from time to time when the moment arises
Mostly S.Axe but can definitely be used as Hybrid to mix in some SAED's here and there. (That's how i played Element CB in base Rise). In Sunbreak it becomes whatever you want it to be due to the massive changes & additions.

That's actually not my eyes glowing😁 It's just face paint. You can color it realy bright and move it to place you want it to be.

Did rampage with negative affinity effect damage output I really into ya rampage build, I am still stuck with ikaji

Since the negative affinity only affects the physical hits from the weapon itself, and 90% + of our damage here is coming from Phials it's hardly noticable at all.
As someone who was a CB main in Iceborne, I see how some of your builds don't utilize Rapid Morph, isn't it a little annoying when you switch one CB build for another and the speed is completely different
A good question, but no. Actually not at all. Because Rapid Morph is completely incidental here! The Skill does hardly anything for us on CB right now, as there are very very few instances were you would actually switch the form of the weapon in a non-attack manner.
The Skill doesnt speed up any of the actual relevant morphing attacks right now. it can basically be completely disregardet on CB right now. (It could realy use some improvements in Sunbreak!😅)

The regular Bombardier skill from Armor or Decorations ? Sadly no. Only the Bombardier Foodskill increases Impact Phial Damage.

Rapid Morph it's purely a Bonus from a Talisman or armor pieces used here. The skill actually had terrible value for CB in base MH Rise. It might get more usefull on CB later into Sunbreak, but i still most likely wouldnt actively go out of my way to add it to a CB build. As a free bonus from anything it's ofc still welcome (Or if you just have free slots to spare :D). 👍🏽 Switchaxe is where the skill shines!

So I'm currently trying to make the buzz saw build when I got a little confused. One of the decorations just says Critical and I was wondering if you meant Critical Draw or Critical Eye.
Neither. It's the Critical Boost Decoration 😊
There is only 1 Decoration actually called Critical^^

@@YokaiNox I looked for it and couldn't find it in decorations, a Google search later and I found out I needed a part from an Apex Rathalos to unlock it. Anyways a struggle of a solo hunt later and I got the part and won the hunt. 2 faints and the final time being 49"24"86" and I've never felt more stressed in the game.

For the paralysis build I have all of the skills but I have lvl 2 paralysis attack and my phials only do 75 damage do yk why that might be? And I’m not doing as much damage as you are with the axe hopper and I have all of the needed skills and equipment. The builds are still great I’m just wondering if I’m doing something wrong
If your Phials are doing less damage you are defenitely missing something. Are you eating for the Bombardier Food Skill like i talk about at 3:10 in the Video ? It's a massive 15% DMG Boost to Impact Phials. I Also talk about using the Counter Morph Switch Skill. It adds 20% DMG for a short period of time when you Guard Point an Attack.
Seems you might have missed some stuff in the Video ^^
For the missing Lv of Paralysis you mentioned, what kind of Talisman are you using for the Build ?

Question. Wouldn't the valstrax CB be better with his armor assuming you use the Valstrax soul rampage skill?
This'll be quite long answer^^ It's a Yes & No situation.
It highly depends on what it is your doing. In most cases it's like i say in the video here, this build will be far more consistant in DPS than running this CB with full Valstrax. For a number of reasons:
- This CB should be played with the Savage Axe Playstyle. Savage Axe is best with high Crit Builds, wich the full valstrax is not good for due to it's slot restrictions
- ☝Same thing applies to sharpness managment The Slots make it difficult to fit in stuff & Savage Axe literally eats your sharpness ^^"
- As opposed to this Build, where we have 30% more Affinity than on Valstrax + Lv 3 Master's Touch for Sharpness management.
Valstrax ends up with 50% Affinity on weakspots with only Lv 2 Master's Touch
This Build ends up with 80% on weakspots & Master's Touch Lv 3
It makes the sharpness last more than twice as long in most cases & landing crits much more consitent (wich makes a huge dps difference already + getting a small extra boost from crit element ontop)
BUT, if you can fit all the essential skills into the full Valstrax Set & can consistantly keep Dragonheart active, then it will defenitely be the stronger choice. It will require a crazy good Talisman though.
[Only run this CB with Valstrax Soul if you can get Lv 5 Dragon ATK in the Valstrax Set, otherwise it's a total Trap and ATK boost III will end up being better!]

If the weapon is on the final level you should be seeing all of the ramp up options. That means you need to have the Tickets up to Lv 9 atleast once.

You have to carry it over from the first version of the weapon. Then it will be on the final upgrade aswell.

@@jeremyg2236 For both of those yeah, Rampage Weapon + Paralysis Builds are some of the Top things you cn use. Specially for mutiplayer. only have to keep any eye out for those monsters that are hard to paralyse due to their resistance, like you pointed out 👍🏽(Even on some of those it still works very well if you play aggresively. That's why i usualy show that in the background footage aswell)
Just recently got back into rise and wanted to play it for a while before getting the dlc to see how I feel and found your video since I love cb and was working on the happy hopper build just a quick question the video says 3 artillery decos for it but doesn’t that give 4 point of artillery since the chest piece gives 1 point already or should I be using something like Vaik or Valstrax chest?

!💪🏽 Right on the money! You'll only need the 3 Artillery Decos if you decide to switch things up (If your Talisman leaves room for the Artillery Decos).
An Example would be using Nargacuga Chest & taking out the Expert Deco (Since Narga Chest gives you +2 Crity Eye) That willl max out Crit Eye and leave you with some Free Slots to customize.
You can ofc also drop the Artlliery completely if you decide to lean into the actual Raw hits of the CB itself. (I'd recommend a Mix of both Phial DMG & Raw though)

Wall of Punishment has less Guard skills ( Lv 2 Guard insted of Lv 3 & no Guard Up skill)
But in exchange it gets Lv 2 Slugger (for easy KOs) & more Stun Resistance.
You can use Rampage CB, Rajang CB, or Diablos CB with both of the Builds.
Jewl placement for wall of punishment build?
If you start with the largest Decos (Guardian - a Lv 3 Deco) everything else will fall into place by itself ^_^
Let me know if you have trouble placing them after trying this.

Meldet. Playing on Switch and for me personally editing Talismans would kinda destroy the endgame.
That would be far from ideal for a edit Talisman aswell 😄
Players that edit would probabbly make it Bludgeoner 3 ATK Boost 3 (3-2-1) for max stats.

@@CijMags Luckily Bludgeoner 2 (2-2-0) arent very rare, so there's a pretty decent chance of getting something comparable or even more usefull that way aswell.
Another substitude are the Tigrex Braces S depending on what you want on your build. They are insanley high value for Bludgeoner Builds in general.

Best pick for a beginner will be a bit depended on playstyle for this weapon type. As it changes quite a bit depending on if you want to use the Spinning Axe or Phials as your main Damage source.
I would recommend making the Wall of Punishment & Buzz Saw Build to give both playstyles a shot and see wich is more up your ally. Or ofc end up using both playstyles 😄From there it's easy to transition into any of the other Builds if you enjoy it ! ^_^

It's a realy forgiving move with a big instant blocking window - perfect for learning the weapon and getting out of a potentially bad situation.

Hey 🖐The Decoration will unlock as you progress further into the game and hunt new monsters (It unlocks before you reach Sunbreak content).
The items you will need to craft it are:
- Beast Gem x 1
- Bishaten Tailcase+ x 2
- Goss Harag Horn+ x 2
- Bloodrun Jewel x 4
im using the same CB but it’s still showing some blue sharpness and a little bit of white, I have the exact same rampage skills, that’s weird.. it’s not showing the long green sharpness

@@michaelmontalvo7441 Then the Rampage Slots are definitely not setup correctly. Make sure to pick the exact same Sharpness Type i have in the Video.
I have a couple of questions for happy hopper, for the decorations is it the number or level? Also what are the normal names for the skills?
The number infront of the x always indicates how many you need.
For the names, you can you just change it at the blacksmith by pressing a button. You can pick between Decoration name & Skill name.
(For example:
Magazine = Load Shells
Expert = Critical Eye)

You have to carry it over by upgrading.
So before upgrading into the Tigrex Tree you have to add Silkbindboost to the Weapon. Then it will be carried over to the Tigrex CB.

Yes, it's one of the best Builds to use for base MH Rise. Specially in mutiplayer.

Wich skills you use for CB is completely dependent on your playstyle.
The only one that's unviverasl is Counter Peak Performance for Solo & Axe Hopper for Mutiplayer if you're playing with more than 2 people.

You have to craft the base Rampage C Blade S frist. When you've crafted and upgradet it you then add Sharpness Type II, Paralysis II & Attack Surge from the Ramp up menu at the Weapon Smith.

How come every time I see charge blade game play and speed runs I never see anyone using the magazine jewel does it not work like it used to in world?
Pretty much everyone still uses it on builds that are meant for phial damage. You might not be noticing it because it works differently now. It no longer increases the amount of phials on CB. It now gives you full 5 phials from a yellow shield charge insted of 3, meaning you dont need to charge the shield to red.
You'll see it on their skills like here as "Load Shells"
Unless it's a Savage Axe playstyle build. The skill is pretty much useless there.
Ohhh ok I saw the load shells skill on some speed runners builds I had no idea it came from the magazine jewel I thought it was like world where you got an extra phial. Thank you for replying and you got some good builds I'll be using definitely want to try out that rampage weapon build.

For a Paralysis & high DMG combo Build ? You can use the Volvidon CB, but it definitely wont be able to hit as hard as the Rampage CB with para.

What do I need to do to get the magazine jewel ? I got 11 pages full with jewels and did. almost every mission from the „multiplayer“ + hr 100
You might be missing one of the materials to unlock it. Here's what you need for crafting it:
1x Beast Gem
2x Bishaten Tailcase +
2x Goss Harag Horn +
4x Bloodrun Jewel
Some Decorations also only unlock when you've hunted the Monsters that drop the materials. Check if you've done a High Rank Goss Harag & Bishaten Quest aswell.

That's literally it, no Skills 😄
We use it alot because of it's Slots. They are so good that it gives us access to better Skills via Decos than we could get from any other part.

I am so sad all the builds I can find that look nice end up being that silly Buzz Saw mode… I prefer the Sword and Shield mode with Axe Damage from time to time when the moment arises

Mostly S.Axe but can definitely be used as Hybrid to mix in some SAED's here and there. (That's how i played Element CB in base Rise). In Sunbreak it becomes whatever you want it to be due to the massive changes & additions.
