I'm an old guy in rotten shape. Recently I committed to walking for 30 minutes for 30 days. I made it but bad weather hit and the fat slob that lives in the corner of my brain convinced me that I had done enough. It is *really* easy to slip back into old habits. Today I started walking again.
Thanks a lot for this video! I've known all the "theory" you just mentioned, about keeping score, tracking progress, Bujo and setting goals but you complied it into a great system that I didn't even know I needed and that's awesome :) You've earned yourself a patron 😉
Your videos showcase the most effective productivity system I've ever come across. Recently, I've realized the importance of incorporating regular breaks into our routines. Just last month, I experienced a severe burnout. Could you create a video on how to take regular breaks? I know it might seem counterintuitive for a productivity-focused channel, but I believe it's crucial for long-term success. Especially since many people, myself included, avoid taking breaks out of fear of wasting time.
Thank you Mohamed! I completely agree with you. Regular breaks are essential. I am definitely planning on making videos around this crucial piece of the puzzle. Thank you friend
You do it the same way you build any other habit. You perform it consciously at first, and with more reps it becomes more automatic and part of your routine. I'd say using pomodoro would be a good start. Then, once you're sticking to the timers you set for yourself (or the default ones), and by that I mean complying with the break times, I'd recommend looking into flowmodoro. Also, keep a reflective journal. Metacognitive skills are pretty crucial for these kinds of habits.
@@spoonfedstudy Thanks for considering it! I’m sure it’ll be amazing as always because your content goes beyond just productivity, it’s a philosophy, and that’s what attracts me the most.
@@Gigusx Thanks for the great advice, bro. I already use Pomodoro for short breaks, but I’ll definitely give the other ideas a shot. I mentioned this because so many of us overlook the importance of longer breaks. Scrolling through social media might seem like a break, but it actually drains our dopamine instead of helping us recharge.
I might have missed it, but I did not see any colors in your actual book… do you have photos and/or a video of what the actual notebook looks like doing this? (And I love the idea!)
Love the content as always. With higher fidelity headphones the ambient nose from your arms moving around on the table is very distracting. I would recommend a microphone arm if possible. Thanks again!
Just a question, for the life board, How do you configure this? Is it a line per category that is always in the same position on the page so it is basically running from page to page continually? I'm trying to decide how to go about it.
Agree with the method of Don't Break the chain being too merciless. Once you break it its easier to maintain broken. Too much pressure. The focus is on not loosing.
How do you organize your page of habits? In the lifeboard of forever wins? Is it by week, so each column is a day of the week, and each row is a different habit? And the weeks arranged like a calendar so September has 5 rows? And each page is a month? If we dont leave a page blank if we skip a habit... Wouldn't the page be filled color anyway?
Personally I just keep it as simple as possible where I just fill out the next box regardless of day or habit. If you don’t do a habit, that’s okay. You just pick up right after with the next box for the next habit you do do
Thank you! Hope it helps you in your goals too friend! Oh honestly I don’t even remember at this point since I shot that scene a while back. All that’s to say, probably not super important as long as you focus on the main strat of filling in the grid with your “life accomplishments” square by square. :)
It doesn't work for everyone, what exactly are you trying to track? Calories? Portions? Or just a habit of healthy eating. ?,I've come a long way myself doing intermitent fasting and keto, all my life I've been taught to eat a certain way and I've finally learned to UNLEARN certain things. Maybe I can help
Sorry but as someone with focus issues in the first place, I’d end up getting too distracted for a week plus just trying to figure out the colors, then give up because I get so frustrated about the aesthetics
It’s okay friend. Get some wins onto the scoreboard when you do feel like it. Those scores are permanent and stay with you forever. A forever win is a forever win. Be proud of them no matter how small :) and when you finally are ready to do more, you will ❤️
The little things add up. And they build momentum emotionally. You may not feel like doing anything at first, but eventually you start to feel good about this positive habit you are building, which creates a great cycle.
the funny thing about all these motivation channels is that: if we want to improve our lives but don't have the motivation to and are just lazy, what makes you think we're gonna take a notebook and write down and track stuff?
This is a motivation channel? I use it as a strategy channel. I use it to expose myself to new life strategies you might consider. I think that's it's purpose. Motivation is just a byproduct or a secondary feature, like the humor.

So awesome! Can’t wait to hear more about your progress
Immaculate timing as always

So it's "write your achievement". 谢谢老师!
哈哈 不客气!😃

I've tried tracking my food many many times. It never works. I guess I'm just a failure. Either that or it doesn't work for everyone.

Nice 👍!!!!
I just wanna chill with some Heineken, play Red Dead Redemption 2 and watch The Boys. Do I really need to write that down in a book?
