Thank you! Unfortunately we don't. We forgot to film while we were working on the shims, but we may be doing a similar thing on our front porch and I'll be sure to get footage of that process so we can cover it in a later video. On the back deck we used a mix of composite shims and scraps of some leftover PVC trim we had lying around to shim the sleeper strips at a slight angle aimed away from the house to help direct the flow of water away from the house. Best of luck on your project! And thanks for watching!
awesome job and a definite improvement over what was previously there! thanks for taking the time to document this! what model table saw do you have and do you like it?
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! I was using an old Hitachi job site saw that I've had for years (I don't think they make this specific one anymore but there is a Metabo version that is probably very similar). I recently upgraded to a more powerful table saw but I used my Hitachi for years and it worked perfectly for just about everything I needed it for. Thanks for watching!
Feel like I struck gold finding your channel!
Awesome 👏
The old guy is very knowledgeable
I think you are exceptionally gifted by the way 👍

I’m so glad I found you guys. Thanks for making the videos.
Thanks for watching!
Oh man! This is my next project in the summer! I'm glad you guys did this. I was gonna buy one of the metal systems. Do you moes live in portland?
Great video. Do you have any video of the risers and shims being attached to the concrete? This is the part I'm trying to learn. Thank you.
