Only 24 hours?! Spend as much time outdoors / walking as possible. Best way to experience the city! The Louvre can be overwhelming ... Perhaps Musée d'Orsay is a better option, especially for the Impressionists and the gorgeous view through the iconic clock face. Definitely the Tuileries Garden and a walk along the quays to the Île de la Cité (would be a shame to miss it!). Maybe end the day with a leisurely cruise to fully absorb the beauty of Paris. These are memories that last a lifetime ❤️
Perfect guide. Thank you! My first time in Paris was last year, I miss it so much
Hi Theo, I love your channel and your enthusiasm, and the concept of inviting different lovely cohosts. July may be too hot for many, especially Americans who are used to having air-conditioning everywhere.
I'm glad you love my channel !!
GREAT TIPS! thx Theo.💖💖💖
These are awesome tips thank you Theo. I wonder if anyone has suggestions for the nighttime. We are a family of four, 2 teenagers and we are staying around the 14th arrondissement. We land on a Sunday and have pretty much time to spend after 4:00pm and breakfast the next day before we head to Lyons. We've done most Paris attractions in the past, so no pressure to see anything in particular. Thank you!
A little gem of a small museum in Paris that is often overlooked is the Musée Guimet if you like Oriental Asian art. Frankly I preferred it to the Louvre Museum during my visit. The Louvre has many wonderful renaissance, Rococo, Romanticism and other paintings but the paintings were difficult to appreciate as they all seemed to be displayed in an overwhelming overcrowded manner or too high on the walls. Along with the huge crowds it made it difficult to appreciate what the artist tried to convey. The spirit of the individual works are lost when they are put beside so many other masterpieces which is a shame. The Musée Guimet has a winning formula for displaying their beautiful Oriental art collection.
Perfect! My wife is from the Philippines, so I'll put this on my list. Then it will be Guimet Museum, Musée d'Orsay and Notre Dame next year, Louvre has to wait. The rest of our time in Paris we'll use to explore Montmartre, and we plan to stay there. Next we'll take a river cruise along the Sarthe River, and end our trip on Mount St. Michael. We'll not have time for more on our first trip, but if we find a nice place we hope to resettle on Montmartre or around Alpes Mancelles in 2026.
Oh, I just learned about MUSÉE CARNAVALET, too a little gem of a museum, and free! It's recommended to start with this museum, so then we'll do that!
I visited Musée Guimet when I was 12 with my class ! It was really cool !
Good advice re:Châtelet...I avoid it as much as possible!
Went to buttes- chaumont for last Monday for the first time (based on one of your earlier videos) it was a fantastic experience but I have been to Paris more than a dozen times. Merci
I'm so glad you loved it !
Walking along the Seine river👌💃🏻🗼🙏
