It takes a bit of practice. Try to get muscle memory down for two and three patterns (e.g red red blue, blue blue red, blue red, etc.). Everything seems to get easier from there, five patterns and streams start to look a bit more possible. The faster you can interpret these patterns/groups and read what's ahead, the easier it becomes to play harder songs.
@@NovaWasTaken_ Drums are only a disadvantage for rolls, Keyboard is easier to use than a controller just because you don't have to switch between d-pad and buttons. Taiko no Tatsujin is not that difficult, ok it's not like Persona Dancing Series, but definitely there are more difficult ones like the Vocaloid ones(Project Diva Series, Project Mirai Series and Project Sekai). Also FNF imo is not that great, a ddr ripoff but done wrong.

Try the ps4 version, Taiko no Tatsujin Drum Session/Session de dodon ga don and try the dlc song Anata to tu lat tat ta at Ura Oni difficulty , that's really a pain in the ass or a cosmo@暴走p song on Project Diva.

Do you use Drums if you do try Keyboard and try playing some other rhythm games I found normal quite easy coming from FNF, Osu, Quaver etc
