Glen place a stainless steel washer under the wing nut. This will prevent the nut from damaging the surface.

Love mine for the 20L but... i got the smaller size filter and it blocked on 1st brew, very dangerous as hot wort was squirting all over out the sides of disc, replaced with the larger filter and no problems at all excellent product but be aware about finer mesh 👍🍺🍺
