When I saw you wearing the clothes I thought, "they fit her well, the length, the cut, the style". I love the concept you explain in the video, I think that is what has called my attention for many years. Thanks a lot for your video.
Nice video Adriel. But as you said when making choices for what to wear what it really comes down to even in Paris is choosing styles that reflect your personality & style.
Thanks so much for making this video. I'm from the U.S. and I'm obsessed with french culture, so I envy you 100%. I always see Parisian capsule wardrobe videos with the exact items that did not make the cut for your authentic capsule wardrobe. I also notice these ladies don't live in Paris 😂 Thanks so much for stating the facts! I'll be in Paris this May for the first time and will mos def keep in mind of your recommendations 😊
Another fine example of how your guidance is so much more practical... Another Parisian content maker had us walking around Paris in CLEAN white sneakers and I just can't fathom how someone could keep white sneakers clean for more than a couple hours as a tourist in a major city, ESPECIALLY Paris 😅
Thank you for your video that is not just cliche as others. I enjoy your videos also showing real street life in Paris. I was in Paris for 10 days last May and love this beautiful city.
Found your channel yesterday and have been binging non-stop since then, haha! Had my honeymoon in Paris two years ago, so anything Paris-related is warm to my heart. Love the video and I'm really enjoying your channel. Looking forward to future videos! Love from Sweden 🌷🤗
Thank you so much!!! Just found you online as I’m planning trip to Paris having not visited in 25 years- but I lived there in high school! Love your videos.
I enjoyed watching your Parisian style video. It randomly came up in my feed. And you're right - fashion/getting dressed is all about finding your personal style and not dressing up like a caricature of what you think someone from culture or subculture X should look like. It's not 365 or 366 days of Halloween. Style inspiration, that is connected to one's sense of personal style, is wonderful. l also like how you shared the importance or purpose of wearing something (ex: red has political significance or heeled boots are for walking the streets of Paris).
Thank you. It really is about personal style. And, you're exactly right in that it's not 365 days of Halloween. There really is a purpose behind how and why women dress a certain way here that I think gets lost a lot of times. I mean with little tiny closets, you can only have so many clothes too!
I don't know if you nailed the Parisian capsule but your view is so fresh and refreshing! Everyone is promoting neutrals but I love how much color you put there. Keep up the good work
I’m glad you enjoyed it. The French love color, especially red. I have a running joke with my friends that when you rent an apartment in Paris, you should always expect it to have a giant piece of red furniture some where. It’s quite cute actually. 😆
Do you have any recs for stores to shop at for tourists looking to pick up some cute pieces like these? Not specifically Paris, any malls or chain stores that have similar offerings? I’ll be going to Paris soon but we visit smaller towns now and then. I would like to add some nice French items to my wardrobe. :)
The great thing about the small towns is that there are ALWAYS cute local concept stores you can shop at that have super authentic clothing so if you’re going to be in a small town, you will find cute things! I think you will find the best stuff in these concept stores. The stuff at some of the most well known French chain stores (in my opinion) has really become somewhat overpriced for the quality. A lot of the better quality stuff is sold by smaller French online brands.
I hv a gorgeous black trenchcoat I thrifted wore it once so hot in California 🙂red is a trend color, will be another color soon as is evidenced by the “it” color Longchamps pliage bag selling in Galeries L no to dirty white sneakers, yes to clean bright whites👍. You see Mariniere stripes everywhere by the coast. Yes to individuality 👍👍something unique about you. Would love to see your weekly outfits
I remember being younger and my mom always polishing our white sneakers so having dirty ones really gets to me; I just can't do it. What do you think of the Golden Goose sneakers?
Yes, if it was warm enough; but usually by mid September, the temperature is fluctuating so much in one day that it's hard to be comfortable in a dress - at least in my opinion. There is a whole fall look here that I (personally) like but, on a good year, you don't pull out those clothes until October.
Thanks for your honesty. I have found the typical capsules we see to be so boring and a caricature, as you said. In my trips to Paris, I also didn't see anyone seriously going out of their way to be "fashionable"; colorful, neat and elegant. Some were even frumpy!! Everyone wore sneakers. I couldn't imagine trying to walk on those cobblestones in heels. Thanks again: lots to think about.
You’re welcome. There are certain areas of the city where you’re more likely to see super fashionable people, but other than that, it’s just people living in a city. Walking on cobblestone in heels is the worse.
I think it was just easier to express. It hasn’t changed drastically, I realized that because I personally feel more free, I similarly feel more free in how I express my style and how I put together outfits.
I think your analysis is very much on point. I enjoyed your video, and I must say, that Burberry trench coat suits you to a T! Fabulous! Now I understand why they are a thing! I loooooove your white shirt. Envy you so much, but being top heavy, the sleeve action would probably not be flattering on me 😢
thanks for this video! I normally travel with a denim jacket, it's like my comfort blanket. But it might be dated travel look. should I bring it this time? I plan to bring a tan full length trench, but might want the jean/denim for evening? my black Moto jacket is too tight at the moment and looks snug :( My next trip to Lyon and Paris is in two weeks. Thank you!!!!
I say bring the denim. Denim is trending this year so even if it's not the jacket of choice for Parisian ladies, I would say that you see them a lot in other countries in Europe so maybe you'll just look like you're coming from Spain :)
Why it is so funny you ask as I just posted a video on that. My old one just disappeared from the website a few days ago, but my new one is the Waterloo!
Your comment is ridiculous. You are wasting my time with your comment. You are not relevant to this video. You are not understanding English language. You are....

Nice video Adriel. But as you said when making choices for what to wear what it really comes down to even in Paris is choosing styles that reflect your personality & style.
Exactly. That is the key.
I bought a maxi length black suede trench and a red turtleneck last fall! I guess I’m ready to return to Paris! 😊
Oh yes you are. Just pop it on and strut the Marais like you own it.

Oh my gosh - no! Parisians love their dirty white sneakers. How could anyone maintain clean white sneakers in this city!!
Thank you for your video that is not just cliche as others. I enjoy your videos also showing real street life in Paris. I was in Paris for 10 days last May and love this beautiful city.
You're welcome.
So thorough, love tbe "what's not there" section!
Glad you liked it. How was your trip? Or have you not left yet?
I loved this! I'd love to know more about the more unique fashion perspectives and colors worn by real french women.
I have a video on the 3 color rule that you might enjoy but I'll also aim to get a good street style video soon.
You have the most beautiful clothes. I will !be in Paris next month. I am packing my blazer 😊. I want to buy loafers there.
Oh thank you. Have a wonderful trip; it's a great city.
I found your channel after looking for style inspiration for my upcoming trip to Paris. I love your videos and style. Keep up the great work!
Awww. Merci. ☺️
I just discovered your videos and I love them!! Thank you!!

Ah merci beaucoup. I’m glad you enjoy and that I can bring a little Paris to you.
I like the red cardigan and black bell bottoms and blouse. Nice outfit. I visited Paris in the early 70s with my husband. We saw several museums.
Thank you. I love those black bell bottoms. Do you remember which museums you visited? I love going to museums during the day.
Just found your channel!! You are adorable!!💕 loved this video!! Excited to watch more xx
Thanks. Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the “real deal!” Heading there in June! So glad i found your channel!

Excellent!

Another reason to buy wool cardigans is that trench coats need the sweaters bulk for warmth.

Super! Formidable! Love the theme of this video. Dommage - can't rock jeans at all. Poor me!
Ah quel dommage.
Could you wear those red dresses in September ?
Yes, if it was warm enough; but usually by mid September, the temperature is fluctuating so much in one day that it's hard to be comfortable in a dress - at least in my opinion. Hi, where is your dress from? Thank you for the informative video!
The long sleeve red one is from Sezane. And the short sleeve red one I purchased in a small shop in Paris called Allison.
@@adrielfelise the olive green one that you are wearing.

You're not French
Doesn’t mean that she doesn’t know what French women wear, she does have eyes.
Your comment is ridiculous. You are wasting my time with your comment. You are not relevant to this video. You are not understanding English language. You are....
Très beaux vêtements mais ne ressemblent pas du tout à ce qui se porte en France...bonne journée.
@@dominiquescharres So, you speak for all french women. You have your opinion, and she has hers.
Well, I do live in a rather chic neighborhood so maybe just the chic Parisian ladies dress like this. 🤷🏾♀️
