Yes, he did right due to the cap. But Beane's issue, why did he let the cap get to be so bad in the first place? One of the problems in the NFL, are the stars and somewhat better than average players making such and big % of the cap. Maybe, I'm a "socialist" would like the see the money spread out which would allow teams to retain players. Regarding Poyer. if he's such value, let some other team sign him for 10m

It’s gonna be really exciting to see a new Buffalo Bill depends a young guys less injuries. That’s what I’m thinking.
The thing I liked best about Jordan Poyer was his leadership and dedication to the team. He was a gamer and a baller. He often played hurt, and went to extremes to help the team that MOST OTHER players in this day and age wouldn't even consider ... the most obvious example that comes to mind was during the 2022 regular season when he saved the Bills' victory in Baltimore with a late interception despite having injured (cracked/broken?) ribs ... and then, because medically he could NOT travel on an airplane, he was nonetheless still WILLING to have the Bills schedule a DRIVER to take him on a lengthy road trip and back to/from KC to play against the Chiefs. Although hurting, Poyer made huge contributions on the field, and also gave the team a huge emotional lift. So I'm sorry to see him cut. THAT SAID, don't forget that Poyer also flirted with signing a lucrative free agent contract with division arch-rival Miami LAST year before deciding to stay with the Bills ... so Poyer was always looking elsewhere.

Only release I was surprised by was Morse. Still kinda hoping that Morse will decide to come back in free agency for a hometown 1yr deal since he's already established here and he has good chemistry with Josh...but it doesn't seem likely considering the rumors are they're gonna move McGovern to center. As for Tre White, love the guy but injuries have totally killed the back half of his career. No guarantee he ever comes back from the achilles. It took a long time to come back after the knee injury and for him to go down again and be unavailable to the team again...I mean there's no guarantee Tre even wants to keep playing. It's hard to go through what he's gone through. We just haven't had him when we needed him and it's been that way for multiple years now. Time to move on.
And I'm saying this as a huge Jordan Poyer fan. I have his jersey, probably my favorite player on this defense for the past several years. But he's lost a step, he's in his 30s, and it was the final year of his deal. It's just smart business, as much as I love Jordan. If you were the GM, you'd be looking to move away from him as well. Just gotta be rational and realistic and take away personal bias towards a player out of the equation and think of the team as a whole. The defense HAS to get younger, faster and more athletic. The Bills have tried to get to a super bowl with this defensive core for the last several years and have come up short each time. It's just time for a change, there's no way around it. The Bills had to get cap compliant and they had to take their medicine. They can't keep borrowing from the future via contract restructures, the cap is indeed real and I promise you they'll be worse off long-term if they hadn't made these moves.
I loved Poyer and Hyde and respect everything they did and put into this franchise. And I’ve never said this out loud but maybe his brother can answer it. Where the fuck u go for 13 seconds? Also I almost 100% guarantee Poyer n Hyde knew dam well that the coverage called for those two plays was never gonna work so why the fuck did they not audible? They chocked just as bad as McD did n honestly never completely recovered from it.

I love JPo and Mitch, but it's a business. Buffalo did right by them for years, and you can't keep a player around forever and keep paying them more. It sucks, they're going to be missed, but it is what it is. I never care what a players parent/ sibling/ suppose says. They don't play, they don't earn, they're insignificant.

As bills fan, I get it, but very surprised they released poyer, if there's any player from the players bills cut, that bills should keep, if possible salary cap wise, poyer is it
We don't need a corner or D line man safety is easy to fill in draft and free agency WR is the first move bills make in draft
