I miss the airfields with planes and pilots that the player could control in some previous Sudden Strike version.
man my heart hurts that the new ss games are not on the scale of the old games and thats why i havent purchased ss 4, i have watched so many videos, there is no game on those old ss scales that are ww2, im talking about the huge maps with 150+ inf and 20-40 vehicles, rts these days they all try to be slower paced and more methodical and detailed its kinda of retarded imo, what is stopping a game like ss 4 or gates of hell having shit loads of everything, bigger maps ALL OF IT !

I went to Saipan in the mid-90s and went to the beach where the Marines landed. There was a massive concrete and steel rod reinforced bunker right in the middle of the beach, back from the shoreline among some trees. The bunker's outside was full of bullet marks and had huge chunks knocked out of it where naval shells must have hit it. It had several open ports for machine guns and a door in the back. When I saw it it was brightly painted and served as a surf and dive shop for tourists. I asked the guy running it if he knew the history of the place and he just shrugged and said the Japanese built it and that's all he knew.
Came here thinking it was old color footage of the Marines landing - and - it's - a - video game. LOL! My dad was with the 2nd marine div, 8th regiment, they came in at Green Beach, (from just above Afetna Point) - still - this is pretty cool, the graphics are impressive. Don't forget to pin down the Marines for a couple of hours before they can move a little inland, meet more resistance, and sweep around and up toward Tanapag seaplane base.... ;) Yeah I'm nerdy that way.
I'm a huge history buff and love the footage! These games won't go into hour long being stuck on beaches which would be intense with accurate battle metrics!

You are missing out on medals, you need to occupy every gun,pillbox and armor unit that you can. Even if you don't intend to use it. Granted not every vehicle will count twords the medal - but it does not hurt to check. 🤗

@@mikehoncho3740 I'm in Ohio and bought the eauropean battlefields edition for 39.99 a day or 2 after it released on Xbox and if you buy the African and Pacific war doc which isn't included with the console edition cost $70 unless you are on PC but I don't know what doc comes with the game and if it has more doc than console
@@irishroddy2416 I'm in Ohio also. I bought it around 3 months ago on PlayStation and they didn't have European Battlefield edition and I'm pretty sure PS store still don't have it but I haven't looked since I bought it.

Why would you capture sugar factory before cutting enemy communications which is just near the landing zone? Game designers must think before they do.
because it seems the sugar factory was a strategic location with supplies, a safe reinforcement point, and was less well defended then the radio station
