The original owner of that machine loaded a pile of logs with it. He even put it through the Cat Gold level rebuild in the early to mid 90's. Great machine in it's time
they made a 245 shovel/loader now as an excavator it weighs 133485.5lb so in shovel setup they would weigh a bit more right now cats biggest shovel is the cat biggest shovel now the 568 at 108690ib the 245 is 24,795ib more then the 568 the shovels that big did more loading then shovel logging because of how much they weighed
Yep they was one of my favorite log shovels to load with..

yeah there were some floating around. i did a walk around of one in Forks a few years ago. pretty impressive machine.
