Nice truck! I bought a 2023 2.7 new this past March and am foaming at the mouth to get started on the mods. I think that this truck has massive potential because the motor is so robust. Thanks for posting.
Great work on the video. My 5Star tunes are being written next week for my 2018 2.7 Hopefully I’ll be happy with them but I get bored easily. Your video has me considering cancelling my 5Star order and going with MPT.
Nice truck man! I have very similar modifications on my 2.7L Bronco. Without DPS and CPs I made 400/482 with an E85 Tune on 35” tires. I will say, you forgot to mention ZFG Racing. They currently tune the fastest 2.7L F150 and hold a bunch of Ecoboost records.
I can’t stand haters man. Great video, I have everything you have but I also have fueling mods. I’m looking to do stage 4 turbos from CRP. I do have a 1st gen 2.7 being I have a 2016 with the 6 speed trans. Where are you located my friend?
First off, nice truck and mods and thanks for sharing. Agree with your recommendation of mods though I would recommend a IC before an air intake. Also not sure where you’re getting your HP numbers unless you stated these were all based off the custom tune. A tune will probably get you between 40-60hp on a stock tune, you won’t get 80-100 without other mods you mentioned. Same goes in reverse the other mods won’t net you anywhere close to what you stated without a custom tune. air intake will net you 0 HP, possibly less without the tune and is useless except for noise and more dirt in your engine.
@@TUNED2.7 I contacted the company and they did verify your claim that the gains on their site reflect a stock F150 with just the tune. Call me very impressed. I don’t think I have heard of any other tune giving over 100 HP on a stock truck. 5 star which is a well respected company claims they give 60HP for a stock truck and 93 tune. I would worry what they’re doing to push the truck so hard to get over 100HP.
@@TUNED2.7in the market for a tuner but I’m worried about reliability. If there is so much power gained from just a tune why do you think ford doesn’t make them that way from factory?
@OutdoorCanadians They pull back power for reliability and probably fuel economy as well. If you data log and send it in to your tuner then they can certainly get it dialed in so that it’s safe
The first mod you can do is buy a coyote and boost it lol. Nice truck man. I'm still hanging onto my 2011 f150 5.0. Truck prices these days are ridiculous! I would like to update someday tho. However it seems like every damn f150 I see are the 2.7 or 3.5. I am warming up to the idea of an ecoboost but I'd prefer a v8.
gen 3 5.0 coyote $14k, most people don't have that type of money to drop on a vehicle right of the bat. but that's just throwing money at something and not using your head.
Crew cabs better for gapping people. You get to say “you got gapped by a crew cab” haha. With my level and 33” tires I’m doing about 22 mpg. On stocks closer to 23-24. I drive fairly conservatively and coast when I can
Sure they can certainly make more power. But as a ford tech we do see a lot more internal engine failures along with turbo failures on 3.5 than 2.7 which is part of the reason I went with the 2.7

I do like my MPT much better. The 5 star still made great power but the MPT has better power output and the transmission shifts smoother
@@TUNED2.7 good to know, Ty.
I’ve yet to find a video of a full bolt on with stock turbos on a dyno anywhere

Thank you! I have heard of them actually but never really looked into them much. I’ll have to check them out

The spark plugs you have in the description will work just fine for a 2015 f150 2.7L MPT tuned?

Thanks! MPT claims 410 at the wheels with the tune only. Good tuning can really push out some good power with this platform

MPT seems very smooth in the power ban. I am getting one more psi of boost with them than 5 star

a 2018 f150 2.7 ecoboost with the proper bolt-ons and a tune will easily gap a 2018 rapter. all about how you mod.
I have a video when I walked a 10 speed raptor
should have just got a 3.5

2.7 has way better internals and built better as a whole with the graphite composite block and fractured Pistons
Yup. 2.7 was built for boost. 3.5 was originally N/A then ford decided to make some very minor changes and throw turbos on it
@@southeastbikelife400 Fractured pistons???? You`re clueless.
