- An older video from 2017, which tells of some of the ghostly goings on in Wookey Hole Cave and presents my personal experience down there
Wookey Hole Caves are a series of limestone caverns, a show cave and tourist attraction in the village of Wookey Hole on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills near Wells in Somerset
The River Axe flows through the cave

Thanks for that Chris, went there in the early 60s when I was about 10 and was terrified. It seems a lot different now, than when I went.
used to be just the cave and i thought far better without all the lighting...it was very spooky indeed
Great video! Looks like a wonderful place!
As a New Zealander interested in geology, I'm very envious of the UK with its ancient geology and abundant fossils from the Cretaceous and earlier. NZ has a few fossils from that time but nowhere near as many as the UK!
I'd love to see more of the haunted WWII airfield videos from you - they're great, especially with the intro music from the period too!
Keep up the good work (and many thanks for allowing comments on this video!).
greetings...my home is county Durham on the Carboniferous Pennines, and we have a sizeable collection of Sigillaria. Stigmaria, Lepidodendron and Calamites fossils.... we also hve the famous Frosterly Marble - a shallow coral sea deposit full of Dibunophyllum bipartitum and a few Lonsdaleia floriformis......towards the coast it becomes Permian and just south we get the Yorkshire Jurassic...spoilt for choice as you say
Amazing place, enchanting..spooky, places where cave dwellers lived. Snottites lol, oh that looks like the wrong spelling! Great video.
The caves are beautiful and very haunted 👻
they certainly had an atmosphere when i was down there - would love to be alone overnight in there 8)
Fascinating video Chris....I can't help but wonder who was my fellow Irish man who perished down there. What bike were you on doing your tour? Thanks for posting another great video my friend 😁🤝👍
at this time i had my yamaha xs 750 us custom.... cheers Eoin
Fascinating, thanks Chris! Tried recording once but too many people around sadly; I've no doubt it would be productive for all that's happened there.
an over-nighter deep in the caves would be something wouldn't it 8)
@@British-Hauntings-and-History hell yes! :)
Good day Chris excellent video as always ❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐have a great weekend hope Judith and you are doing well how's your mom doing?
hello stranger... we are surviving.. mother is doing her best but getting very tired and breathless.. keeping her warm and comfortable
The Dr Who side of the cave's history is always a fascinating series of accounts. The Irish pot holer, and the series of accidents taking place. Word to the wise... Never treat local legends lightly.
Sutton Hoo - the only reason that was excavated was a medium seeing Saxon warriors wandering around and her being friends with the landowner
