  • You'll need a 10 inch extensions, 4 inch extension and swivel.
    #15 sockets and wrench... and impact would help too.
    You'll need another long wrench, tape and zip tie it to the #15 wrench.
    There's space between the lower control arm and the frame of the truck so that you can get to the nuts.
    If your motor is still in the truck you can get a another #15 wrench to the bolts, set it with some tape and that too is possible.

    Just my opinion,but if youve gone that far why not remove the control arms and replace bushings while your at it. Clean and paint the frame too.

      Bushings have to be pressed on for the lower control arm, if I remember right. I like your idea 100 percent but I already did them when I drop the truck 2 years ago. To remove the lower control arms you'll have to remove the shocks, spindle and spring.
