Fury gives any Heavyweight in the world today a great fight. He has great Stamina and is the most awkward Heavyweight around today. He might not be the most powerful but he can wear you down all night long and when the time comes he will strike.

Tyson uses a lot of Celtic bare knuckle techniques. Focus on not hurting your hands, lots on body shots and jabs to the face, only throwing bombs when there is clear opening to a knock out zones. The jabs are also tactical, racking the gloves across the skin around eyebrows, cheeks and nose, (the use of the back hand ect). With bare knuckles this causes cuts and swelling ect. Also using jabs to push the opponents gloves/hands away from the face to create an opening to key points on the jaw or face is another technique. Plus some Celtic style wrestling tricks.
Trust me it's a deadly art taught from a young age. There is also rules etc you will hardly ever see a gypsy fight without several wittnes and a referee (some times 2), to prevent things from getting lethal ect ect

Yes, the modern greats will often have a complex and well schooled style9like the greats of the past). he is by far the most versitile heavywight in the world. he has the brain of a far more technical , small fighter. and being that big guys usually rely on a basic skillset and jab right hand, it is even more impressive. doesnt need to jab and grab like (cough) many others.

Man, a lot of people dont realize how good this guy actually is. His speed, movement and technical ability are EXTREMELY rare for heavyweights and no wonder even Klitchko had no answer for it. If Wlad manages to win against AJ this will only prove Fury could be one of the greats if he comes back. I sure hope he does.

if Wlad beats AJ people will give way more credit to Fury and deservably so. They are arguing that Klitchko is old and washed up, we'll see i guess :) I think he just got schooled by Fury and he will still probably beat AJ no matter the age. The guy is in top shape.

Tyson Fury mainly uses a modified philly shell guard, but switches to orthodox to offset his opponent the same with south paw stance from now and then. This philly guard is not text book, but he is so tall and has arms so long, that basically his shoulder covers all the line for his opponents straights and his hook hits without much body positioning. Those jabs have incredible reach and specially from south paw are more like straights in strength. This way his opponents get tired and frustated early in the fight then he starts toying with them.

It's funny that because Haye kod Chisora a lot of people would argue he made easier work of him than fury ever did. But in reality Chisora had Haye on his heels and made him work very hard and Haye pretty much had no option but to force a knock where as Fury made their second fight look like sparring. Never in danger at any time.

Fury's been the best heavyweight for many years now, even when he's mentally and physically unfit, he'd probably beat most of these guys who just don't know how to box properly. That's why Klitschko held the title for so long-he could actually box. When Fury's fit and stable, he'd hand out free lessons to every other guy in the division, completely different class. He's the only truly gifted and classically skillful boxer in the heavyweight division. Best hands (and heavy), best technique, best feet, best defence, best head movement, best chin, best stamina. The highest compliment you can give a heavyweight these days is to say he could've competed well in the 1960's to 90's - and he could've.

None of these opponents can get passed his jab because his hands are just so much faster than theirs. On top of that, he’s bigger than them. This man is a legend.

Fighting on the inside is the key to victory against Fury. A Mike Tyson peek-a-boo approach would be anyone's best chance. Easier said than done, though.

I haven't kept up with heavyweight in a few years, I didnt realize how unorthodox he is. Not the prettiest style , but damn he is a beast.. exciting to watch and unpredictable. Not the usual boring heavyweight by any means. I hate that i missed his prime

Just lacks a killer punch. Would be unstoppable.

100% he has it all, fantastic footwork, hand speed, great chin ridiculous range and he has a good number of different punches in his locker he just isn’t a hard enough hitter.
If he could throw a wilder style haymaker he’d honestly be up there as one of the greatest of all time

He reminds me of Ali. Just like a fish in tehe water. Natural born boxer. He doesn't have to think. Its in his blood. That's the advantage.
