WaW definitely deserves an S. The amount of little details they actually took the time to do compared to new cods has gone unappreciated. Even with the famous "You just grazed him" moment where you fight the sniper he will bait your shots with a helmet on top of either a gun or stick then snipe your ass. Super underrated.

Ghosts story was actually really good. The Odin super weapon getting raided than used against us premise is one I’ve rarely seen in video games and ghost executed it well.
Infinite Warfare needs to be In S Tier. The space combat, mission variety, loadout system, the gadgets, everything was just so well done and unique to cod.

I actually believe that the advanced Warfare campaign deserves even more considering that it's actually linked to the zombies mode by another game mode that was basically surviving rounds of soldiers like in the MW3 "zombies", which, imo, felt like a brilliant idea, turning everything into a big campaign-zombies mashup movie. Yeah, there isn't very much character development but I still feel that even with that issue it's really underrated for what it is

Black ops 3 story is actually good when you understand it. The dude who wrote it just made it so he didn’t actually tell you and you had to figure out what’s going on by reading the scriptures that show up at every mission. Inkslasher goes into detail about it to help others who never understood it

As a CoD Ghosts fan, I'm glad to see that you didn't rank it as trash. I'll admit it wasn't the best game, but I still feel like it was pretty underrated.

Including Soap's death, eiffel Tower falling, makarov's gruesome death, the Davis family footage and Sandman's sacrifice. It isn't a disappointment, it is a masterpiece. So uh yeah that is my only argument.
Finally, someone has something good to say about ww2. It may seem odd to some but, ww2 is my favorite cod campaign and one of my favorite cods in general. Liberation was an amazing mission. I loved the multi-player to bits. Sandbox is an awesome map. Plus, this was the cod that introduced prop hunt to the series. I can't forget about zombies also. I loved it as well. Jts not that great compared to the other zombies but, its still fun and REALLY scary. It had one of my favorite maps in zombies also, 'Gröesten Haus' is a really scary and tight cornered map, adding to the fear factor. I feel that youtubers like Actman treated ww2 and ghosts badly and indirectly tainted its player bases. I get people have opinions, but not everyone has to like MW, same with Ghosts or WW2.
The WW2 campaign was great! The multiplayer I didn’t enjoy until they revamped about halfway through its lifecycle, but then it was really fun. 1 correction I’d like to make though is that COD4 remastered actually introduced prop hunt into COD. Which was released the year before WW2!
As someone who thinks COD 4 is the best campaign ever, MW3 at B tier is criminal. It is S Tier and I would take it over MW2 campaign. MW2 campaign is S Tier too
Something to note: Cold War also has endings, so let me explain them Good Ending: For the good ending, you want to just play through, and bring the crew to Perseus, and win the game, that's it. In the ending, you and Adler shoot each other. Bad Ending: Play through the game, but LIE and bring them to an abandoned area, in which they kill you while the nukes go off Super Bad/Evil ending: This requires the bad ending steps, and opening the locked door. To open the locked door, you need to find readable papers for the code. When done, you get a playable arcade machine- or it is only that? When lying to the team on where Perseus is, you can tell Perseus where you'll be heading, to then Ambush the crew, and kill them, then watch the bombs go off with Perseus

Tbf, the cliffhanger was one of those things where they thought the game would get a lot of praise, so they could make a sequel, but instead we were left with THE BIGGEST cliffhanger in CoD history
Cold War Campaign felt like a copy of the BO1 campaign just different sides, but it was really cool to see the mission in the mountains and getting to see the aftermath of what Hudson and Weaver did to it.
Most people haven’t played vanguard so they just say what other people say but Vanguard is a solid S tier I played through it and had lots of fun and the multiplayer is also very fun
I would have ranked IW in A personally, the characters were very well fleshed out, especially Ethan, and the backdrop and story were also really good. The music was absolutely impeccable.
Waw actually has a few endings but they play after credits where reznov will say if your good or bad like mercy killing the enemies in the subway stairs or molotov them

Infinite Warfare is A tier. Ghosts and MW3 aren’t on the same level when it comes to legitimate impactful moments, art direction, and writing. IW’s ending itself is arguably one of the most memorable and poignant endings to a campaign ever, and Ethan gives HK-47 a run for his money for best robot companion in a video game. I would argue the campaign’s one actual weakness is the main villain is not fleshed out at all (although the SDF itself are solid bad guys IMO).
In my opinion MW3 is so underrated especially in the campaign, it has some of my favorite missions Blood brothers and turbulence, and concluded the MW story satisfyingly with that hanging Makarov, although I’m probably biased since that’s one of if not my favorite cod game.
I don't know why. But I just fucking love Cold war's campaign. Selectable dialogue, custom character, able to learn a tiny bit of characters. Enough to know their basic lore and personality. But maybe you didn't waste time in the safe house at all. And this is the ONLY campaign you can technically be the bad guy! Also you can play Zork on the computer. Also I believe the mission is called breaking free has got to be the most creative mission ever designed in this franchise. You can even get essentially jump scared by zombies if you do it right. It may not be the absolute best, but the creative integrity of this campaign skyrockets it into S tier for me personally.
I agree with 90% of your list, I feel like there's room for them to be moved up 1 or down 1, but they're all in the vicinity of where they should be by 1 space
WW2 is easy S tier, just a better WaW and the part were Turner dies, they made it so good. Easily the second best campaign behind BO2 Cold War was also an S tier, 2 possible endings, so not as many as BO2 and the choices you made never mattered until the end unlike BO2 which had so choices and options. However, the endings were good, especially the plot twists, and it even had a zombies Easter egg, which when i accidentally discovered it almost gave me the same goosebumps as when you first discovered the nazi zombies gamemode in Waw
WaW deserves an S tier. Authentic, dark, the music, the atmosphere, the missions, the connection between the characters is not pronounced but you can feel it definitely, it is challenging, it has tons of little detail, the iconic moments it has it has everything.
I'm glad to see Black ops 2 being put in the correct spot, That campaign was so well done! I wouldn't mind having to wait an extra year for each game if we get to see more campaigns like that. I personally played the campaign multiple times, hell maybe even two dozen

Personally and I may get a solid amount of hate for this but I wouldn’t say vanguard’s campaign mode was that bad. It was very hard to complete tho I got stuck on the part where you had to fly the plain but other than that it had a long and good story. You may have got a little confused tho when you switched back in fourth of characters but it wasn’t that bad as people say it is. So I give it overall a solid b teir

As someone who thinks COD 4 is the best campaign ever, MW3 at B tier is criminal. It is S Tier and I would take it over MW2 campaign. MW2 campaign is S Tier too
Something to note: Cold War also has endings, so let me explain them
Good Ending:
For the good ending, you want to just play through, and bring the crew to Perseus, and win the game, that's it. In the ending, you and Adler shoot each other.
Bad Ending:
Play through the game, but LIE and bring them to an abandoned area, in which they kill you while the nukes go off
Super Bad/Evil ending:
This requires the bad ending steps, and opening the locked door. To open the locked door, you need to find readable papers for the code. When done, you get a playable arcade machine- or it is only that? When lying to the team on where Perseus is, you can tell Perseus where you'll be heading, to then Ambush the crew, and kill them, then watch the bombs go off with Perseus

Tbf, the cliffhanger was one of those things where they thought the game would get a lot of praise, so they could make a sequel, but instead we were left with THE BIGGEST cliffhanger in CoD history

Cold War Campaign felt like a copy of the BO1 campaign just different sides, but it was really cool to see the mission in the mountains and getting to see the aftermath of what Hudson and Weaver did to it.

Most people haven’t played vanguard so they just say what other people say but Vanguard is a solid S tier I played through it and had lots of fun and the multiplayer is also very fun

I would have ranked IW in A personally, the characters were very well fleshed out, especially Ethan, and the backdrop and story were also really good. The music was absolutely impeccable.

Infinite Warfare is A tier. Ghosts and MW3 aren’t on the same level when it comes to legitimate impactful moments, art direction, and writing. IW’s ending itself is arguably one of the most memorable and poignant endings to a campaign ever, and Ethan gives HK-47 a run for his money for best robot companion in a video game. I would argue the campaign’s one actual weakness is the main villain is not fleshed out at all (although the SDF itself are solid bad guys IMO).
In my opinion MW3 is so underrated especially in the campaign, it has some of my favorite missions Blood brothers and turbulence, and concluded the MW story satisfyingly with that hanging Makarov, although I’m probably biased since that’s one of if not my favorite cod game.
I love MW3! Gave it S tier when ranking the games overall. But I thought the campaign was good but not great

The cliff hanger in Ghosts wouldn't have been bad if they had done a sequel where you played as the bad guy.
If COD ghosts didn't have a cliffhanger, it would be probably be an A tier campaign.

I don't know why. But I just fucking love Cold war's campaign. Selectable dialogue, custom character, able to learn a tiny bit of characters. Enough to know their basic lore and personality. But maybe you didn't waste time in the safe house at all. And this is the ONLY campaign you can technically be the bad guy! Also you can play Zork on the computer. Also I believe the mission is called breaking free has got to be the most creative mission ever designed in this franchise. You can even get essentially jump scared by zombies if you do it right. It may not be the absolute best, but the creative integrity of this campaign skyrockets it into S tier for me personally.

WW2 is easy S tier, just a better WaW and the part were Turner dies, they made it so good. Easily the second best campaign behind BO2
Cold War was also an S tier, 2 possible endings, so not as many as BO2 and the choices you made never mattered until the end unlike BO2 which had so choices and options. However, the endings were good, especially the plot twists, and it even had a zombies Easter egg, which when i accidentally discovered it almost gave me the same goosebumps as when you first discovered the nazi zombies gamemode in Waw

MW2, MW1, WaW, Black Ops, MW3, Black Ops 2. Cod 2 would fit in there somewhere but I've never played it.
WaW deserves an S tier. Authentic, dark, the music, the atmosphere, the missions, the connection between the characters is not pronounced but you can feel it definitely, it is challenging, it has tons of little detail, the iconic moments it has it has everything.

Personally and I may get a solid amount of hate for this but I wouldn’t say vanguard’s campaign mode was that bad. It was very hard to complete tho I got stuck on the part where you had to fly the plain but other than that it had a long and good story. You may have got a little confused tho when you switched back in fourth of characters but it wasn’t that bad as people say it is. So I give it overall a solid b teir
But it’s multiplayer is straight dog I spawn and then I get shotgunned in the face.
