I wish they added a description for the units to better understand how they where used irl and how to use them in the game to cut down on confusion
The fact that at 39:05 your Apaches hellfire’s missiles have less range than that Russian AA 57MM flak gun makes no sense , the hellfire should be longer range than that. That needs balancing for sure.
An anti-aircraft unit should be able to kill aircraft. It's more concerning that the deravitsaya was able to 1 v 1 the m8 MGS and win. The aim time on main tank guns is too long.
yes lets make helis even more OP than they are 🤡
Maybe let the Hellfire outrange the 57mm but let it loose on raw DPS.
@@kirumy-toz That's a 57mm Autocannon vs an airborne tank, and it depends on what variant of the M8 it's fighting. That cannon could very well kill an airborne tank.
The helicopter was not firing because it was not in the right direction to aim and be able to shoot at the Deriavitsiya.

vulcan violated one of his ethos that he established a few videos back: that is to always spawn in fighters to clear the skies at the start of the match.
Maybe he is in fun mode, not playing the “meta”.
The meta has shifted quite a bit in high elo to more focus on AA, especially on Kaliningrad.

Brother your infantry have legs they can move into the combat zone no need to land so close to the front and get everyone killed 😅
Yeah, Airborne gets airdroppable transport buggies for a reason, too, the strategy should be to drop in a safe place and then ride in from an angle that your opponents aren't expecting and your plane should make it back alive, trying to fly a cargo plane right up the middle into enemy AA and fighters and drop directly on the objective is just a huge waste of points.
It also counts for helos.
They need to fix the low flying heli pathfinding. It’s so silly that it climbs over buildings instead of flying around 😂
Yeah it would be nice if they automatically pathed around obstacles a bit better.
Would be cool if Helis could unload infantry on top of those high rises. Practically it wouldn't be much different then unloading in front and having the infantry then hop into the building, but it would be cool for immersion.
There's a major problem with this game: The F35 should be sitting in the hangar with maintenance issues about half the time.
When an IFV cannon has better range than Hellfires, and when a chopper tanks 4 Sidewinder hits and just carries on about its business, and when helicopters are a bigger threat to a jet fighter than the fighter to them, you know the game is balanced :-)
Sidewinders are IR, so they *kinda* can be thrown off by helicopter's ECM irl, just like Stingers.
Irl, missile often explodes ~6 meters from target and when we talking about planes, most of them don't have any significant armor, so it's ok, but when you fire AA missile at armored plane/helicopter, it throws off your missile further and so it doesn't do a direct hit, which leads to aircrafts surviving hits from enemy's AA net.
In game, when flares are working, your AA missile explodes near target and deals it less damage, but full suppression. It's a game mechanic that is *kinda realistic*, what isn't tho, is that flares also blind Pantsir and TOR missiles, that are not IR, they should just don't care about ECM.
As for SPAAG against hellfire, it's stupid, yeah, but if it was realistic, you would be crying about helicopters being overpowered. Don't forget that common hellfire or ataka missiles are outranging Gepard, Shilka, Pivads, Shorad and etc. by 3-4km irl, that wouldn't be fun in game at all, so they are all set on ~ same range.
@lovepeace9727 if SAM have better range than hellfires, I'm okay with that and that balances attack helicopters. But a cannon??? Also, I'd be very happy if you could link some info about helicopters surviving several MANPADS hits. In Ukraine, there are videos of, for example, the famous Polish "piorun" MANPADS shooting down heavily armoured Russian attack choppers with one hit, but I have never seen a video of a helicopter getting hit several times and flying home. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, I'm just saying I've never seen one, and I have seen quite a few
Those KA-52s were super rough, the Stinger Squads seemed to do way better against them than the actual SPAA or aircraft.

You should have strengthened the Foxtrot Vulcan position well by mobilizing anti-tank infantry, tanks and AA to create a strong defense at position G and attack the Alpha position and try to destroy the anti-aircraft batteries and clear the sky
Theres a 25 minute stretch in the middle of the video where you push and gain grouns, then never resupply.
Holy moly 35:05 that Nuke gave the team 1500 points
At 30:50 the score is 2-1 at the end of phase 2, with the enemy team going to take +2 for flags. So we expect the score to become 2-3 in favour of the enemy. When the phase end ticks over, the score becomes 4-3?! WTF
Combined with the "ghost" capping of foxtrot around 15 mins, I think this game was desynched somehow.

And at 36:09 Foxtrot magically caps itself for blue again.
Bro I downloaded the open beta but I’m so ass. I need a tutorial or something cuz I can’t figure out how to play this game. It looks fun once you get over that learning curve though.

They should've kept the tutorial. But thankfully videos like these are helpful. It's a steep learning curve. I still don't know how nukes work. I just played for 4 hours straight my first run on this game though
Go PVE first, it helps you understand the game but be aware the way you play is very different in Online.
I actually felt so bad for you watching this. Literally ever missile that could miss did and then the enemy missiles would just target lock on to your helos and planes. RNG I guess?

I like how everyone loughed at me on the stream yesterday, when I mentioned 3 AA units cant shoot down a single alligator, only for it to happen 3 times in this one match... It is so wild how some aircraft just tank 5-6 Stingers without even using flares or moving.

The US Army airborne and armored division is my favorite combo.
You definitely made quite a few mistake that resulted in the loss of units unnecessarily. Could just be play style though. I always make sure I have layers of defence to have all scenarios covered before I push up. I always try to have recon before I move to a location and if I can’t I will make sure I have at least one manpad, a vehicle or two for fire support and infantry with enough points to call air cover if I need it. Usually it takes me longer to push but it saves units most of the time.
How does (if at all) the aftermath of a nuke affects units in the area? Do they get fattigue or loose health?
I wanna like this game since it has modern military stuff but honestly the more I see the gameplay I’m leaning towards warno

Wow, you got super greedy during the first 6 minutes. You should have been punished much more than you were. Being aggressive is a very good thing, but it is a very thin line to cross over into greed.

AA without Patriots seems like a totally different game...
Game has been amazing, but I must ask others: does it feel like the game is dictated in the beginning? seems the winner of the initial air battle controls the pacing and flow
The reason why air openings tend to be so pivotal is down to the way income and unit upkeep works:
When you start the game, you have your maximum points income. Every unit you spawn - in addition to its spawn cost - has an upkeep cost, which reduces your points income, with more expensive units generally having higher upkeep costs.
However a unit's upkeep cost doesn't go away when it is killed - it's only when they become available again in the deployment menu (i.e when the orange circle fills), that the upkeep cost stops.
So losing 600 points worth of ASF at the beginning of the game doesn't just F up your initial opener, but also handicaps your points income for the time it takes for those planes to become available in the deployment menu again - which can be up to 5 minutes or more for the more expensive units.
Air openings are therefore a high risk/high reward strategy, which you shouldn't over commit to, unless you're very confident you'll come out on top.
Not really imo. Losing the air battle might slow or stop your initial push, but since you don’t score until the end of the phase the advantage of early rushes is less.
It can even be detrimental to rush into objectives with a fast and small force because if you can’t hold it you’ll be feeding the enemy units that might be enough for them to score on destruction at the end of the phase while simultaneously not scoring because you lost the objective.
Thanks fellas, it's interesting to know that upkeep isn't reduced until the unit is available again I never knew that!

A few things are out of date, as it's from the time of the previous beta, but most of the stuff it describes still applies.
We got our butts kicked in the air in the beginning, but came back because the way the game mode is designed, it’s a great balancing change to game flow

It’s a bug I believe. It’s the same thing that kept happening to Kilo. I had one game in which I had to keep recapping a point that would keep going back to neutral with a recon unit in a nearby building. I did this some five times before I just finally left it in there and it stopped.
I don't understand this game enough to understand how the entire enemy team can have sub 1.0 k/d but also completely push you off every point except one, and only lose by a single point. How car they take so many losses and still control the entire map?
How does this game work?
Do you get limited amount of units?
Yes you can bring a limited amount of units (let’s say 2 f35). You send 2 f35, 1 get killed, 1 returns. The one that gets killed will have a cool down until it’s ready again, the one that returns has the cool down significantly reduced. You also get some points back for it if it returns
why cant we buy then "store" the winged aircrafts to deploy later like wargames did but rather buy it then deploy it imediately ?
Is the playtest still available? If so when will it ends?
