That was a very good tutorial! As always you did a wonderful job. Informing us on everything you preformed every second throughout the video. I love that about you. That's why you're my favorite nail technician to learn from(: have a blessed day(:
About a week ago I used dual forms on myself for the first time in about 2 years. I had the same problem on both of my thumbs as you had - I had air pockets. So I filled them from the top and from underneath with more gel and cured and just hoped I was doing the right thing. Now I know that I did. I usually use hard gel with tips and sometimes I'll use paper forms. I only used the dual forms this time because I found some Modern Almond shaped ones I was dying to try. The nails look pretty with a nice slim shape, though!
Great Video! U wss wondering which wet tissue do you use to clean the hands after you are finished with filing? Thank you for sharing you tips and tricks❤
I thought the video was informative and useful. I imagine pro techs would want to time themselves performing the same experiment. I am a DIYer and have been trying every technique x 2 years. I love forms, but have a hard time getting them fitted well. I have long, slim nail beds which are deep on each side, so I have to do a lot of cuts and them seem to be off centered slightly at times. Plus I can only do 1 form at a time because I hit the forms putting my hand in the light sometimes which can knock them off center. Dual forms can be challenging if you under or over fill and then smoothing underneath without knocking the form off centered. Full cover tips are the easiest DIY, but want to know al techniques. A lot depends on how much patience I have on a particular day.😂 I am pleased that my nails stay very well for weeks without breaking or falling off so at least have that part down.
You said "paper forms" in the video, but the title clearly says "plastic forms." The reason I clicked on this, is because I was unaware of "plastic forms" with features that can compete with "dual forms," because - as far as I have been educated - dual forms ARE plastic forms. I was confused about what the nail industry could have fabricated that would BETTER qualify for the description "plastic forms" than what I could already refer to as "plastic forms." I mean, what is out there that is more "plastic form," than a PLASTIC FORM, and I also considered that this is going to cause a lot of communication problems between clients and nail techs, when a customer requests "plastic form, and isn't educated about the difference between a "dual forms and plastic forms." Slightly stressed out, confused, and also feeling like my educators have failed me, and that I might not be a competent nail technician, after all, because I would be fraught to tell you what this video is going to be comparing... And then you used "paper forms" in the introduction sentence, and then used it again, when affirming what you would be doing in this video: "We will sculpt one hand with PAPER FORMS and the other one [another one] with DUAL ONES." Please, update the title of your video, reflect the content. I am sure this was just a misnomer, written absentmindedly, or maybe your video technician isn't a nail technician, and was unaware of the discrepancy, or simply was confused or didn't recall accurately what you defined as the videos contents and purpose, in the first clip. Thanks.
Omg you work so fast, I'm a beginner so watching this is very informative and interesting
thank you, don't worry, it all comes with practice💅🏻

Her “paper forms” are made of plastic though, she clearly explains this in the video
