Remember, Dan O also said that Justin Fields was going to play at an MVP level last season.
Harry Douglas was also a huge fan of Jameis Winston, Zach Wilson and Kenny Pickett. Reality is Orlovsky is dead on the money here with his comment regarding decision making and throwing away from the defense regarding the consistently best QB's in the NFL and Daniels is easily the best QB in this class in those 2 respects. Williams does have a ton of talent, but he also makes a lot of mistakes and turns the ball over a lot. And QBs, who turn the ball over a lot in college rarely suddenly get past that issue in the pros. Daniels also has a better and quicker release than Williams and it would be hard to argue he isn't also a better pure pocket passer than Williams at this point.

People forget Daniels taking over games at ASU against ranked teams like Oregon and USC as a freshman. I don’t think Orlovskys view is all that controversial Daniels is for real

Good point. I remember the same time last year everybody was riding with Bryce Young as the clear #1 in the draft. This year everybody is riding with Caleb, but in my opinion Daniels is the clear #1.
Jaden Daniels is just Kyler Murray with a messed up elbow.
I think Daniels should end up being really good. Needs to add some muscle and learn when to slide, but great prospect.

What’s funny is his workout had more easy throws than anything we saw with both Caleb Williams and JJ McCarthy and he was missing a lot more throws.

@@rcg9573 really go back and watch how many of these throws were in the 15 yards and under range. It was far more than what you saw McCarthy and Williams do. Williams last throw was literally a I am going to throw this ball as far as I can pass.

@@hakeemyusuf2299I think Caleb has better arm strength and accuracy. I also like that he keeps his eyes down field while scrambling instead of just tucking it and running. He also only runs when he absolutely needs to. As a Bears fan I’ve seen enough running from a QB. But I do think Daniels is above Maye because Maye’s footwork is atrocious.

Nope. Remember though Anthony Richardson was terrible in college, but was a top pick just because of his physical talent.

I'd be worried with Caleb, if he can cry losing a game in college than how is he going to handle if he goes to a bad team and loses a lot and get sacked constantly, while analysts criticized him.
Losing a game in college is completely different than losing in the NFL. Losing a game in college means that your season is effectively over. I’ve only seen him cry after losses when their chances for a championship are gone. It’s different in the NFL. I don’t think he’s soft. I just think that’s way he handles his emotions. Brady, Mahomes, and other great QBs aren’t exaftly stoic

If you are talking about highlights then sure. but down to down play to play he absolutely isn't a Patrick Mahomes comp not even kinda not even remotely. @GandalfTheStraight it doesn't mean anything. It's a chance to meet the kid. JaMarcus Russell and Zach Wilson had what were considered some of the best pro days of all time. If that is your main criteria for drafting a qb then you deserve a bust
