Got it In 160 and instantly became my fav board when I’m not riding twin. Stable, nimble, floats superbly. Great camber profile/stiffness blend. For how straight liner and aggressive it can be and its freeriding performance that thing is so comfy on groomers which surprised me the most. If I wouldn’t ride switch and freestyle as much this would be my daily. Thought I would need stiffer bindings (using Union Force) and boots (Vans Hi Standard Pro flex 5-6) but it actually works well due to fact i went with 160 instead of 164 which was considering too. Great board. Grab one. ✌️

I'm 170, 5'6" sz 9 foot boot. Picked the 152 but the Jones calculator said get the 156. Had plenty of float in fresh powder and rips. Went the fastest I've gone on a snowboard with the most stability last year. As fast as my mercury but way more stable and carves better than my orca. EPIC BOARD. My favorite in my quiver. I'm not a park dude anymore. I am 44 so this is great for going surfs up all around the mountain. Great work Jones. Using Union Stratas and works great. Can't wait to ride it again.

I have one in 2 different sizes. One of my fav boards of all time, love the review.

Ohhhh this board is oh so fun and underrated because the flagship overshadows it. I sized down on this, a fun directional freestyle board is what I like to call it. The med flex is forgiving but still plows through things. Side hits are forever fun on it!

Was waiting for this review TC thanks!
220 lbs / 10,5 Vans Verse/ Mainly in Tahoe, should I go for the 160 or 164? I wanna use it for the powder days and maybe going through the trees

6'4 250 12boot here - i ride the 164 - feels like 2 boards - cruise ship on the crud and speed boat in the pow - have no problem manuevering in fresh snow in trees - Avren told me i could have gone 160 as well and i believe him -id say go 160

What’s the difference between this and the Mind Expander? Is the Mind Expander softer and more free style?

Hey Avran/TC! Heard this board has different shapes on the base aside from the spooning - channels at the tail? I know you guys don’t really wax boards, but are those channels going to be an issue if I were to wax/scrape the board on a regular basis? Love the content!

Could be if you don't know how to operate a wax scraper.

Get the 56 for more optimal float

Live and ride in Japan. For here, I think you want to size up, not down.
My wife uses a 156 solid Hover for deep days, and she's 100 lbs. I'm 150 lbs and use a 160 HC splitboard. I wish they came in 170cm length.
The HC is nimble enough that it's no problem with the added length.

Unrelated to the video but I’m deciding between a 2021 capita ultrafear and a 2024 Rossi resurgence. I’m an intermediate/advanced rider with a free ride style. What would you recommend?

Would the split version of this be good for low angle pow?

I have the previous ultracraft split, definitely yes

This was intentional I swear been eyeing this board all damn day was kinda stuck between this and the flagship…
    Edit:
I got a 160 hovercraft it’s such a blast and loves it’s speed I clocked 50mph first run, carves great and blast though everything! weight is 150, size 11 boot, 6’ tall absolutely no regrets!
