Thanks Joe - appreciate the comment. Yes, it was great to get up to Botswana for just under two weeks. The Okavango delta is an amazing place - we only saw a fraction of it in this series. But I’ll be back for sure. Enjoy the content! 😎
Hey Morris - thanks for reaching out and for your comment - and especially for your help on the day. We caused a bit of a traffic jam, but we could tell that you guys were eager to jump in and help out - and we definitely appreciated that - thank you again. I'll be uploading the rest of our trip over the coming few weeks - Episode 2 will drop on Saturday. Hopefully we get to meet again one day, on a trail somewhere - we owe you a few beers ;-)
Great video, thanks for posting. In October I did a two week self drive camping safari in Namibia. It was incredible, greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 I'm hoping to visit Botswana in 2024.
Hey Damian - thanks for your comment - glad you enjoyed the video. I haven’t done Namibia yet - but it’s high up on my list. I’ve only heard good things. You will love Botswana when you visit in 2024 - friendly people, lovely country, amazing safari/overlanding opportunities. Keen to hear how you find it once you get back. 👍🏼
@@graemecumming For Namibia try and do an overnight at Spitzkoppe Community Campsite. It's truly spectacular and definitely take the tour from Swakopmund to Sandwich Harbour.
Thanks for the great video. May I ask which border post you used? Any other border (Zanzibar and Platjan for instance) would you recommend early June to cross from Francistown to Alldays (we are headed to Kruger Punda Maria gate)?
Hi Catherine - thanks for your comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the content. We crossed into Bots at Martin’s Drift. I don’t recommend using this border as it was so busy. There’s another border post about 40kms away - Stockport - it’s quiet and very efficient. We came back into ZA via Stockport.
Hey Graham - we left for Bots on 6th April and got back to Joburg on 18th April. Good month from a weather perspective - no real rain (we had some light evening showers), hot during the day, and mostly dry tracks through the swamp region.
Sorry that this annoys you. I add music mainly because I don’t have sophisticated equipment and when I record using my GoPro, there is a lot of wind noise that hits the microphone - making it quite unpleasant and noisy. The music drowns this out to an extent. If I manage to capture natural sounds without the wind distortion, I will typically drop the music track so that sounds can be heard. That’s the simple and honest reason from my perspective. Keep watching though - I’m sure you’ll eventually start to enjoy the backing tracks that I select for the nature scenes you’re watching.
H.H from the Air...amazing
Does give a great perspective doesn’t it…glad you enjoyed.
great work Graeme! what an awesome trip.
We’re just getting started! 😉
Really nice to see you back in the bush, looking forward to the rest of the series. You are off to a great start.

Great video, well done, makes one long for that sort of trip.
Absolutely - thank you Chris. Appreciate the comment. If you can make the trip happen, I'd highly recommend it.
Hi sir, it's so nice to see you're guys again, safe and on RUclips, I am the person who helped with the recovery

@@graemecumming Graeme, you mentioned the German couple who rented the vehicle from Bushlore in Maun. Did they return it at Kasane or back in Maun?
@@damianmcdonagh7908 they rented in Maun and dropped off in Kasane. No issues at all. Seems to be a common way of doing it.

Glad you enjoyed it Elsa - thanks for the love.
really nicely put together Graeme. looks amazing

Why does everyone ruin beautiful nature with added music?

Too much chatting. More about vehicles, camps etc.
@@nickboshoff9114 thanks for your opinion. Will try harder next time. 👍
