I think Satoko understands this actually. She realizes she could live the best fragment right there and now. Teppei is nice, her friend group and entire village is rallying for her. The similarity between K1's near-arson while cooking and Teppei's teaspoon incident makes me wonder, just how many parallels are there between Keiichi and Teppei? Would Teppei turn out more like Keiichi if he had tried to be a better person at K1's age?
