I saw a guy in a video wrap his airco hose in quilts and stuff to insulate it. I saw another guy who had bought proper insulation stuff that he wrapped around it. This will keep the heat inside of the hose instead of radiating it back into your home. Probably smart to wrap some towels around it.
Also, never thought about a plexiglass thing to cover the window. That's actually a pretty good and relatively easy idea

Here's a tip to cool that hose and it's free, get a large bath towel, wet it a lil bit with cold water, then drape it over your hose, instant hose cooler!!!!

You don't even have to wet it. Just wrap it in towels etc because it will insulate the hose and keep the heat inside the hose instead of radiating it outside.

All reviews show the AC unit as being quiet; do you have noise when the compressor starts working after 3 minutes or do I have a faulty unit?

There is noise when the compressor is working. It is definitely not silent. The level of noise should be about 55 decibels.

Is ok to add water on the top drain since mine doesn't make any water.?? And you say need the water to cooling down.?

This AC will still produce water, even if you don't see it. No, you don't need to add extra water to the Delonghi Pinguino air conditioner.

if yours isn't producing any water that's because you live in a dry area

My flooded my room. The wooden floor is soaked. It didn’t bring the little hoe for the bottom. I bought it from WOOT! I’ll see if I can buy that part. The floor is in bad shape.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that. You need to make sure that both drain caps are on the drain openings in the back of the AC before it starts working.
