Here is a tip , Put your palm over the carb opening , open the throttle wide open and crank it . After a second or two of cranking you will feel your palm is wet with fuel stop remove your palm . Open the throttle wide open and crank it will start .This method will start a dead man and save your battery . It may not stay started cause of carb issues /dirty but it will fire up. If you have any questions i was a Kymco dealer for 12 or 13 years I still have 3 Two super 9's and a XZ50 , just ask Hit Ebay 70 cc kit or 50cc for 60 bucks to 150 bucks and your good steel cylinder aluminum head .
Hi I have a super 9s with no spark I’ve changed Coil Stator Voltage regulator Plug And the cdi box I’m now thinking it is the wrong cdi box any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
@@ANDREW28580 Kymco super 9 uses a DC CDI box make sure you have that . Here the basic no spark causes 1 fouled plug 2 bad CDI or plug 3 Stator 4 bad coil or connection at coil 5 bad ignition switch 6 Bad on off switch 7 Stator wire short rubbed etc 8 Bad coil or cap it unscrews from the coil leaving you with just the wire and cap to test on a Ohm meter . That might be your best bet a mechanic that has a OHM meter check all the parts first . That's the basically your complete ignition system. What brand are the parts Do you have a AC stator ?
Bro of course it was on purpose! I knew immediately that you meant to get that close to the pole... Im sure by now you know there are tons of aftermarket parts out there for it if you did want to replace the top end with something with a little more kick.
I have a kymco 2 stroke super 9 air cooled motor. So if your looking at the motor from front to back, on the left side of the motor just bellow the heads little towards the back. Looks like something that a cable connects to. Just wondering if you can point me in the right direction about what it is. It’s something like on the carburetor. But, it’s on the block lefts side looking towards front to back of motor. Lmk thank you
nice work! an aftermarket exhuast, a 95 main jet, 6g rollers, and a derestricted cdi this thing will SCREW i have a 2009 super 9 air cooled. thing rocks got it for $400 threw some performance parts at it , i can hit 60 and cruise easily 45-50. highest temps i hit 330ish but yours is liquid cooled you could push it even harder
That's awesome, and thanks! You did that with the stock 50cc engine? I think mine is de-restricted, but its totally stock outside of that. I've always been tempted to add a 70cc kit and exhaust.
@@InTheGarageDIY yup it’s stock 50cc.The cdi restricts you the most along with the cvt setup. im running a polini clutch, and stiffer springs also i thought about doing the 70cc but i like my MPG and high temps are an issue with the air cooled model.
@@InTheGarageDIY I run a Leo Vince carbon titanium pipe and that matched up with a 110 octane cdi, high compression race cylinder and iridium spark plug I got to 125 km/h into the wind on a flat easily (~77 mph)
Beautifull scooter i have one too the same color as yours
