- Puddle of Mudd was scheduled to play a concert on Houston at Proof Rooftop Lounge on 8-3-17. Wes Scantlan was too trashed to make his flight, so 94.5 The Buzz personality @theresarockface Theresa hsd to announce to the crowd that they weren't going to play. And it was EPIC.
Had a great time playing an extra long set for everyone!

Eh I'm not really trying to defend Wes or anything but seems kind of fucked up to make a bunch of wild assumptions to an audience about why he isn't there, despite the fact that, by her own admission, his plane didn't land. How exactly is that his fault? Was he flying his own aircraft?

That might be the excuse that HE gave them so she didn't believe him! Plus his reputation leaves MUCH to be desired!!!

Who does she think she is putting Wes's major problem so detailed out in the open like that. Drugaddiction is an issue that can overcome everyone, and when you expose it to a whole fucking crowd, he's not the only one that controls his abuse anymore, he gets a name and there will be no turning back. More shit like that will kill him. Ofcourse we all know that Wes isn't the performer he used to be and I think if people just openly expose the reason for that matter it is pretty fucking logical that 'his flight has still not landed' or just bales on his shows, because he knows they know. He's not gonna get better when you reflect him as a 'piece of shit that is Still walking the earth', everybody deserves to get another chance to get better no matter how hard he screwed up. It's people like her that pushes a guy like Wes only deeper, not people like Wes that 'takes' your silly money because he's fucked up on stage, because people like her pushes him deeper. I'm shocked of this woman's courage to do stuff like that.
Sander Bosmans You are clearly an enabler if you are defending him. It was the 2nd time he has left his band alone in Houston because he was too fucked up & didn't give a damn about anyone other than himself. And he has done it over and over from city to city. He deserves nothing good in this life until he makes the decision to help himself.
It is from my view difficult to actually know how his minds works because I just know his music and seen some live videos and I think that people have a right judgment about his actions, he doesn't pay for gain. But when I put myself in his shoes when he stands on that stage whilst people are just cutting his head off, so to speak, I feel left alone, with a serious number of issues that just follow each other, and the worst struggle of all would be that I would not be able to actually generate motivation to get myself over those imaginary needs, just because people know and people keep judging me for it, it's hard to change your vieuw about yourself when other people already created it for you. So after all I've seen, I think it is nothing more then a vicious circle. He fucks up, people judge, he gets mad, people get mad, he fucks up. I think there is no way back here, he got his name, damage is done and is still being done and soon he will damage himself, apart from the druguse before. I think it's sad because no one can actually do something about it, because both sides keep fighting each other.
celebs often surround themselves with yes men and enablers, so maybe he needs to be called out?
My last 2 concerts in the last month was puddle of mudd a few days ago and nightwish a month ago. Puddle of mudd is a commercial rock radio success and nightwish is A band from Europe with no commercial usa rock radio but well known to Americans from the web. One band played a sold out show in front of 3000 plus while the other band played in a club that has a capacity of 1200 but didn't come close to selling out their show in the USA. If you guessed puddle of mudd was the band that was at the sold out venue of 3000 and nightwish was the band that couldn't sellout the 1200 venue than you are wrong. It was nightwish that sold out the 3000 capacity venue in philly and puddle of mudd who couldn't come close to selling out the 1200 venue in Harrisburg pa.
There is a line that is crossed when you, as a radio DJ and promoter, where your main act can't even show up. I'd snap, too. Sounds like this is the second time it's happened from her speech. Problems aside, issues beyond their control aside, if you didn't show up for your job where all you had to do is get there on time to work a 90 minute shift, while being pampered as fuck before and after (most acts have riders where they have to wine and dine the bands with a nice ass green room with all the free beer and food your guarantee can afford) - would you still have a job? The egg is on the radio station's face at that point, they promoted the shit out of the show, spent a ton of money doing so, and then get stiffed. How would you feel as a radio personality where, come show time, you basically lied to your audience for weeks/months on end?

Shit happens bro. I understand Wes has had his ups and downs. He’s human. Her actions by ripping him apart aren’t justified either. She may have had good intentions but that doesn’t excuse the fact that she was throwing some wild assumptions out there and throwing him in the mudd.
Who the hell does she think she is. She doesn’t have a clue what was going on in his life . It’s people like her that just hate hate hate. He’s sober now.
Philip Reed Wallace She knows exactly what was happening. This wasnt the first time he failed to show for a concert at this same venue, let alone MANY others across the nation. Get YOUR facts straight. He may be "sober" now, but at that time he was close to being in a casket. That came directly from his band/crew. Thank you for supporting his recovery tho, we all do
