The games I'll never forget about are the dark souls games.
I remember, I was at a rough spot in my life, where my self esteem was at it's lowest. Then? I played Dark Souls 3.
It was mostly as a self deprecating joke, we were returning it to the store in a few days anyways.
Nobody in my family had beaten the tutorial boss, and I had nothing else I felt like playing so I decided to give it a go.
It took hours, but eventually I beat him. I felt awesome, as sisyphus had felt after rolling the boulder to the top of the hill, with the strongest glue keeping it in place.
I was enthralled by one sentence "HEIR OF FIRE DESTROYED", I felt untouchable... for five minutes. LOL.
We ended up keeping the game, and I've played Dark souls 1 and 2 since.
Fromsoftwares "soulslike" series will always have a place in my heart, not just for the fun, epic batlles. Not just for the cool weapons and stories. But, even though it seemed especially designed to break someones self esteem, It only heightened it.
Oh and Legend of Zelda, because that's what I grew up with.

Okay yes I am finally listening to it right now, but I gotta say Rain World looks pretty good I think I'll buy it (Completely unrealted) Oh and also I loved Terraria
