SHES BACK AND PLAYABLE! (Nintendo Direct Discussion) [#141]
I thought this had like 100 K views
God I'm so happy that someone else talked about characters monolgueing instead of having conversations in voiced dialogue. Like with Tulin and Teba. The fact Teba doesn't say a single word to his son in that one minute of Tulin begging him to go to the Wind Temple is just so badly directed. It feels like they just wanted to be lazy and save money on having another voiced character.
How do I play now thoooo
A couple simple fixes… One, the memories should have played in order regardless of what glyphs you did. Two, the revelation of Phantom Zelda shouldn’t have been explicitly shown in the tear drops (knowing that most players would do these before the castle). Three, the Master Sword and Zelda dragon reveal could have been walled off until after the Phantom Zelda confrontation. All that said, I had already guessed that Zelda was sent back in time before even jumping off the starting sky island. It was just obvious from the way Rauru was speaking and the scene with the Master Sword being sent through time or space. Also, it’s almost immediately clear that the Zelda we were seeing was an imposter. So, it just didn’t matter to me too much if the story was ruined, because I already knew the story almost immediately. But what can you do…

My biggest critique of BOTWs and TOTKs Story is that you start in the middle of the story, yes you can watch the memories and yes you still finish the story, but the stories feel like you get to play the half finished savefile of someone else, they got to see the world in peace, they witnessed the uprise of evil, you as a player just get some scenes of that and that's it. In other Zelda games, you start in a somewhat more peaceful and orderly life and only then the evil really starts to get going, so you need to grab your stuff and go out into the world, that way it feels like YOU witnessed the uprise of evil and YOU have the personal mission to beat the antagonist to restore the world you started in. I loved BOTW gameplaywise, I just thought it wasnt a good Zelda game, now with TOTK, they also managed to make a step in the wrong direction with the gameplay. The puzzles in both of the games are the main gameplay point of the games and not the combat, especially when you compare it to other more combat oriented games like the Dark Souls games, so it should feel satisfying to finish a puzzle. In TOTK, you have the rewind, ultra hand and the fusing mechanic, which are great ideas by themselves, but in combination, everything feels like using a glitch to skip a puzzle, every solution of any puzzle feels less like a key to a door and more like just kicking in the door, you dont know if your solution was a glitch or intended, especially because most solutions are easy and simple, which really inhibits any satisfaction for me with the games mechanics and main gameplay.
(In my opinion) BTS should not have been the fire emblem guys (including Awakfina even though she isn’t part of BTS) J-Hope should’ve had been replaced by James Franco Jin should’ve had been replaced by Shia Labeouf Jungkook should’ve have been by Paul Walker (if he was still alive) Rm should’ve have been replaced by Channing Tatum V should’ve have been replaced by Andrew Garfield Park Ji-Min should’ve had been replaced by Patrick J. Adams Suga Should’ve have been replaced by Ian Somerhalder and Awakfina should’ve have been replaced by Sydney Sweeney
the story is hard to find and when you do, it isnt very good.
That is my favorite Legend of Zelda game ever! I remember playing it on my dad's gameboy. I never got passed the first dungion untill about 6 years later. I beat the game twice. It is the only Legend of Zelda game I continue playing after beating it.
Oh, and that is a really nice video!
You have a talent for ruining someones likeness to a videogame. I enjoyed the demo alot and I have absolutely no intrest in playing this garbage after watching this video, lol.
11:41 legitimately they dont even have the limits to contain the stones. They literally didn't even use their own abilities against the monsters, and only link had to say "lets go" to do it. If anyone would recieve all 4 secret stones it would be link. Because you can't just get a stone by doing nothing and letting one man risk his life and you're just there watching him suffering through it all just to rescue Hyrule and all you could do was watch. Yes they do move around and tend to attack the monsters. But the abilities, they don't even tend to use it on their own. If you're gonna AID the swordsman, use your powers for good. Not watching a man defeat 2500 monsters just to save Hyrule without any help. There's no need to get a secret stone if you clearly didnt have the capability to use your own abilities without link having to say "lets go"
Danny De Vito should have been Pikachu.
A digital only future for video games is not consumer friendly. I want physical to stay for as long as possible.
Ludwig playing Ludwig is perfection
I won’t watch. The thumbnail told me everything. Didn’t cry to this game? Harsh answer: That’s a “you” problem. Lighter answer: If you didn’t cry when bunch of other people did, then that’s alright, just don’t hate the game for needless hate reasons, that’s something I’ve seen a lot more recently honestly. People being hateful much more, for ridiculous reasons. I played BOTW first like most have, absolutely LOVED that game. It was an amazing first experience! But.. ToTK is just better overall. To me, at least. The world is more filled and I can actually DO more. Also, if this, and BOTW, didn’t have the Weapon Durability function? They would be HOT GARBAGE. That’s my personal take, I probably would have hated BOTW if it wasn’t there, and most likely never have gotten ToTK. It made the game more fun, a better enjoyable experience! Again, my own personal take. And the annoying “Very Little Enemy Variety” argument.. Here’s my hot take: I don’t really care about that. I just don’t. It’s annoying to hear people complain about it though, like, grow up and get over it. This was my personal view of the game, and I originally wasn’t planning to say so much, but it just happened. Because I genuinely enjoy talking about it ig? Bye! Have a good night/day.
Nah nah nah you’ve got it all wrong. In a perfect world everyone would be Chris Pratt.
TOTK’s story was honestly really disappointing. Still a great game in terms of it’s mechanics and really enjoyable though. Biggest flaw for me personally is the lack of interactivity with the story. In BOTW it kinda made sense, but here it just takes away from an otherwise great game.
Where is level 3
i think the easiest fix for that trouble was to split each memory in 2 parts one part with a short glimpse then if u get the right order the second part is available like lets say u found 5 3 1 4 2 memories 5 short glimpse 3 short glimpse 1 obiously is the first one so it plays entirely 4 short glimpse 2 plays entirely but now u get an alarm that u can go to 3 to watch the full memory and keep repeating
Is this real😮😮
Don’t know what it is but Zac Efron as Little Mac really speaks to me
Wait my birthday is at April 24 2025
Ferb as Shulk is actually brilliant
Will the super smash bros movie happen?
Is that going to be real?
Arms is hands down the best fighting game nintendo made since punch out
Do you think that this woudl be a good or a bad idea that I buy this game now? I kinda always like this game but never really dared to buy it
What about some of these as Zelda Characters: Link - Zach Aguilar Zelda/Sheik - Scarlett Johansson Young Link - Tara Strong Toon Link - Nancy Cartwright Ganondorf - Ron Perlman
Vin Diesel as Yoshi is honestly the best casting choice ever.
you forgot the miis
Outside of the obvious Sheika technology, Divine Beasts etc. If this was a sequel, wouldn't Zelda going back in time, becoming the light dragon completely negate BOTW? Both cannot exist in the same universe as it would mean that the light dragon would have been present during BOTW, which it wasn't. Hopefully I make sense in my explanation.
i so want a sequel to arms splatoon 2 screwed over the hype
Thank you so much @fmzemerica I use this app every night lol
I'll be impressed if Lemmy Kilmister comes back from the dead for this movie
Lemmy Kilmister is dead. And i know its a Parody
Is anyone aware the Lemmy is played by Lemmy kilmister who died in 2016
Late 2015 actually
Horizon forbidden west complete edition is exactly who to do Phycical singelplayer games! Kirby should be Terry Crews but Meta Knight should stay the same
At least some Gen 8 Pokemon like Sandaconda and Hatterene got Gigantamax forms, while Gen 6 only gave Megas to past Pokemon . Diancie is the only Gen 6 Pokemon that gets a mega, and it’s not even in the base game.
I think an other nail in the coffin was the marketing heavily focus on the joy con motion gaming when the Wii U destroyed players interest in it . Even if arms don’t even need motion gaming to be amazing
Bad News: Jack Black will be also starring as Steve.
8:32 Not true, Purah & Robbie can commit friendly fire with their special attack.
Totk returning to the visions from the past approach was slightly annoying. I think it would've been awesome if link was sent back in time AFTER zelda to deafeat gannondorf there WITH the past sages so that the characters, environment, and story could've been developed better. Sure, a lot of strings would have to be pulled naritive wise, but the idea sounds a lot more entertaining than the original plot of totk where it feels like the plot didn't tie into the gameplay very well.
I heard not too long ago that a more story-based sequel for ARMS is being developed.
Let me know when you actually did the actual research in how it did for Japanese markets considering they gave it the game of the year award for Japans game award show
I would mostly agree with you about the game, but the Master sword segment and add something else to be more disappointed in. The Master Sword segment seems to be more of a personal issue of yours rather than a full blown fact. I mean, I thought it looked amazing. But I prefer subtle over action any day. Hence why Lttp and OoT are my favorite Master Sword scenes. The issue I''ll add to this is the de-evolution of Ganondorf's character. He goes from a cunning and powerful villian, to being just evil for the sake of evil. That worked with Demise because he's supposed to be Ganon's "original form". But here, he was just more than a PHANTOM of his original self. I love Ganondorf because he isn't just powerful. He's smart. Devious. And very full of himself. In many of the games he only thinks Link as a kid. Here, he just makes fun of the Master Sword really. and still loses to it.
I think Metroid should just get a new comic book mini series adaptation, a don't think the Metroid series has the sales or popularity for a film adaptation.
My main issue with the plot is how disconnected it seems from BoTW. So most of the things have happened long ago and the repercussions linger until present time...but somehow they are ausent of BoTW that is just a decade or so ago. They also dont properly explain how Calamity Ganon is related to Ganondorf buried in the underground cointained by Rauru's hand. So Tears seem massively disregard Breath, feels like it is a hard reset of the world and plot.
One thing that I really disliked is the new Ganondorf. Like this is the first time we actually see a reincarnated Ganondorf. Most Ganons/Ganondorfs across the Zelda games were the same dude, the only exception being FSA (which honestly feels like a game that is barely considered canon by anyone). So this incarnation of him being entirely new was a big deal and they kinda do nothing with his character. There is no explanation in TotK why he has magical powers, why he turns into a demon king, why he is so much more powerful than everyone else and even his unending hatred for Hyrule feels really unexplored.
Clickbait don't waste time
