Thank you so much for all the information! Do you know if a gall bladder removal surgery would disqualify me from the airforce? OR can I get a wavier for it?

Hey! Thankfully a gallbladder removal does bot disqualify you as long as there are not complications 60 days after surgery! I would definitely recommend you get a letter from your primary care doctor and surgeon saying there were no complications. They may ask for some additional paperwork just to confirm but you should be absolutely fine! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Hi i have a question i want to join the army but im just worried about meps, and why im worried because of little scars , i got a scar by my eye and one under my chin also one on my arm (not surgery related just simply kid stuff but i did needed stitches) so do I mention it or no ?

Hey! Good question! I would go to your doctor and get a letter written saying that ALL the scars are simple cuts that completely healed from your childhood, and not surgeries. Double check with your recruiter but most large scars you do have to mention. Otherwise the doctors at MEPS will see them and ask anyway. Take that doctor’s letter with you to MEPS and you should be fine! 👍🏽

Been thinking bout joining. Getting fit and ready, but not sure if previous injuries from sports will hold me back. I am also a LVN/LPN working on RN pre reqs. 32 years old. Any advice? You seem to know your stuff champ.

That’s awesome man! 32 is still a great age to join! I would recommend that you become an RN and then join as a commissioned officer! More $$$ and a higher rank! I would talk with a medical recruiter for the Air Force! Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions! Thank you for the good energy 🙏🏾
