  • As Prime Minister Rishi Sunak comes under fire for giving a knighthood to a Tory donor who gave the party £5 million, Sangita Myska and investigative journalist Sam Bright discuss whether the honours system should be scrapped entirely.
Mohamed Mansour, a former Egyptian government minister, has been named in an honours list which also includes Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan, and fellow film producer wife, Emma Thomas.
Labour's Anneliese Dodds says Mr Sunak awarding Mr Mansour a knighthood is "disrespectful" to the office of Prime Minister.
"This is either the arrogant act of an entitled man who’s stopped caring what the public thinks, or the demob-happy self-indulgence of someone who doesn’t expect to be prime minister much longer."
She adds: "Either way, it shows a blatant disrespect for the office he should feel privileged to hold."
