You are absolutely right, I did the whole multiple notebooks/journal thing (both books and digital) for work and family life and got really overwhelmed. Now I have similar to what you said: one book for brainstorming, notes and brain dumping, one planner that i update and refer to every morning that tell me whats happening that day, and one notes app on my phone for jotting things down when i am on the go or when i dont have my notebook with me, which i transfer later either to my notebook or planner whichever is relevant. This has simplified my life so much.
I just started using an omni journal! Right now it's a bullet journal, a creative journal and a random stuffs that I need to think about with paper and pen. And it's working very well! But I also have Notion which is more for the long stuff, work and study. It's messy right now, cause there's also things in One Note and drive and dropbox, but I'm slowly taking everything (that needs to be digital) to Notion, it's better there ^^ Oh, and I also have a sketchbook and an art journal, but those I'll probably keep separated, cause I wanna be a great artist, so I need free space to practice drawing and painting
Can this work with a busy retired women who wants to doher hobbies , manage serving on a board , care giving non routinely for parent and child care who needs to balance her ownself care. I want to keep a record of to do, need to organize my retirement projects. Going til. I drop has been my MO. Well I might be asking for me! I have tried planners, tried digital. I start strong and am left partly filled items. So any systems, teaching are for the workplace where yourstructure is youwork hours. Being retired is a never ending work place. It was easier to balance life when i worked. 😂
