I buy my Proven Winner plants based on "what Laura says." :) I've never been disappointed in a single one. Thanks for having her explain/advertise the plants she uses.
I stand AMAZED at all the wonderful things that GOD has Given/Designed for our enjoyment! And I appreciate that Laura teaches us how to introduce and Garden properly to have a great "Haven" --- so eager to get outside and watch my Garden grow! Thanks Laura and big Thank you Proven Winners...............I LoVE you both!
I love watching your videos especially during the gray days of February. I am excited to try the ornamental oregano, the fuschia salvia and the creeping phlox. Hoping spring comes early here in Zone 5!
Hi Laura I just moved from Wisconsin to Arkansas last june. I'm learning everything all over again because soil grow zone seasons and everything is so different. I planted Dianthus and it has never died back. It has bloomed on warm days and has closed buds when it's cold like today 28 degrees f. It was always 1 of the first things to come to life back in Wi. Thank you for the video and your thoughts. God bless you
Absolutely YES, on that daylily reminding me of an iris, too! So beautiful. thank you for a great video. So helpful to me in zone 8 to 8b. Blessings, love and hugs.
I totally get your dianthus dilemma since the bloom cycle is relatively short. I gave up on them and planted day lilies instead and am glad. More powerful presentation for sure. Just my experience. Love this video
Love this video - I learned so much about perennials and combining plants in my garden. Please keep them coming. Suggestion: please leave the name of perennials a bit longer on the screen so I can write it down. Thanks again for the u-tube video.
Very nice going to have to look for the shade loving ones they will work inside my apt even if next apt doesn't have a porch or growing space like this one
In this video Samantha Grace is only nine days old? You look amazing. And you’re already making this video. That’s pretty amazing. Congratulations and thank you for the video
I love your videos. We just bought 5 1/2 acres and I am going to go wild with planting flowers. I appreciate your detail info on each flower. Keep the videos coming. And CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BABY!!
This was so helpful! We are in northern Ohio, have lots of deer and rabbits in our area, and while we have a lot of shade in parts of our yard, we do have afternoon sun in the back. We just installed a beautiful in ground pool, and need ideas for plants and this helped big time.
Yah red......the best foil for red is green, dark green, preferably up a tree like Tropaeolum speciosum. Red doesn't mingle with much except a lovely dark dark saturated cool viloet purple (not the warmer red toned purples) can look fabulously like shot silk, some of the newer Suprbena's or Verbenas are good in this combo. Wish Laura, yes you lived in Southern Florida because I just love your honesty and enthuisiasm and finding good new lovely flowers is rather tricky down near Cuba, even just half way there. Garden centres are very prone to selling stuff that wont thrive in our zone in season, they look fabulous and are soooooo enticing but one rain and they're gone to fungal heaven for good. So yah please move to Miami Florida, branch out lol

I have 16 of these boxes.. along my porch edge at 6.5 feet high. ...any ideas? Zone 5b
Thank you for the videos! Love! Love Love all of them! Could you give some specifics on rabbit resistant perennials? Or what to do with rabbit issues? Thank you!
The best thing for rabbits is Plantskydd spray. It does smell, it does discolor the plants, but if you spray it at each sign of new growth the bunnies will stay away. FYI, it is an organic product, and personally I have found the spray is much more effective than the granules.
These are Beautiful plants but how do you keep the snakes away from your garden? I live in the country of Tennessee and there are poisonous ones. Is there anything to Repell them? Thank you and love your videos. 🦋🌻🌻🦋
Great video with wonderful plants. Apparently PW doesn't have a preferred provider in Seattle, so many are not available here. I see more common PW plants at Lowes. How do you get them in Eastern, OR? Also, I have the same problem with deadheading dianthus. I want the dead ones out and keep the ones still blooming. The only way I have found is to do it carefully bloom by bloom.
Good morning Tim. Please know that we do not have ANY preferred provider of our plants. My zone is 9a and live in the hot Central Valley, CA (Visalia, CA) where it gets 105-110 F in the summer. Chuck, please realize this is the Proven Winners RUclips page, this is not a Garden Answer page. Fairytrail Bride is not a Proven Winners hydrangea, so we cannot help with your plant question.
No, we do not have a video on perennials, only one on shrubs for landscapes. Plantskydd spray is incredibly effective, find out more by searching for the company's page online. Also, here is a list of the perennials we do consider deer resistant and are sized for containers--typically these are plants that are fragrant, very low to the ground, or tickle the deer's noses, such as a perennial grass. www.provenwinners.com/plants/search/advanced?duration=Perennial&deer-resistant=1&uses[0]=Container
I am not a gardener at all. I need a couple of virtually no maintenance type of perineal flower bed. Is that even possible? Lol but I sure do have some good hosta plants growing!! I do not like cutting back plants in the fall.

Laura, I love your channel. I am having challenges purchasing PW's for my zone 9a. It is wonderful to watch your vids but when I cannot find the plants, UGH! Is there an online site for your parents nursery?

Hello ! I am a new subscriber from Seattle! I have a couple of questions. I live in the north of the US, and I believe we’re on area 8. Can you give an advise will perennials will do good in pots? I also need some that they’re low maintenance since I am suffer from artritis an have a limited movement, but I like plants and flowers! Thank you!
I have a creek running through my property and am constantly fighting the weeds coming up the sides of it. Do you have any suggestions of a perennial ground cover that would be vibrant in color and also be able to overtake the weeds?
It is better to remove the weeds or treat them somehow vs. trying to cover them with another type of plant. Some weeds are incredibly vigorous and can power through nearly everything. Take a picture of the weed to your local garden center to see what they recommend, they will be familiar with the weed that is invading your property.
Still looking for an improvement over "Caramel" heuchera, this could be it. Absolutely bulletproof in zone 7 in a variety of locations. All these are nice though.
A lot of these varieties aren’t carried by any of my garden centers. Can these be ordered online and, if so, what time of year do you order for next year’s bloom?
The links above will take you to the page on our website filled with information about that one plant, and also indicates if it is available for sale on the right hand side of that page. Best to plant early in fall and water well until the ground freezes over. Don't expect much from a perennial the first few years, the growth at this time is focused on the root system, building a strong base for a beautiful perennial in future years. Thanks for watching!
I love your show with a passion. You have the best voice and performance of anyone!! You should be on TV. Like HGTV for sure.

Divide it, if its a old plant. Too much competition for nutrition.
Maybe a PH issue or lack of nutrients.
Hi Laura. I was wondering is it safe to move perennials around right now? If not when would be a better time
I am in zone 6
Yes, dig carefully and do the best you can to get all of the root system. Then water it well as if it is a new plant when you do relocate it.
