I recently renewed my TSA Pre membership and having that really saves me time when I have to go through security. I'm also very polite to the TSA agents and will often wish them well if there's a major holiday coming up.

I carried a week's supply of prescribed opioids on a flight to Mexico for a one-week stay. Because the Rx had just been filled for a month's supply, the TSA agent wanted to know why I had only seven days of medication instead of the full 28 days. He couldn't understand my concern about theft and/or confiscation of the pills and was actually confused by the idea of an American taking opioids INTO Mexico!
It required two supervisors to explain the situation to his satisfaction and his interaction with me tied up the line for a half-hour.

Get pre check. Don't check luggage. They want you at the airport hours early to spend money in the airport.

I hope you’ve already found your answer since you’re leaving in a few days but in case you haven’t, my suggestion is to call the airline asap & ask if you need a note, especially as it might be something they don’t know about. I travel internationally w/ vitamins, supplements some of which are liquid in a capsule in a pillbox separated by day, my medications stay in their bottles (so they can see they’re prescribed to me, what they are) but my multivitamin is a gummy & in a massive bottle. I keep those separate in the bottle they come in so they know what they are- inconvenient, takes up too much room but I prefer being safe. I hope you have a lovely holiday in the Philippines! 🧡🎸🎶⚡️PS maybe the “my tsa” app would advise as well?

Actually, I haven’t flown in more than 25 years. I’m going on an international flight and need all the new rules information. Some of us don’t have up to date experience .

@@morethanmeetstheeye1355 Well, more than 25 years almost fall into the category which I mentioned :) The only difference You might find is taking of your shoes, and all that shit via the control section, although I am guessing they were checkinh with metal detectors and everything else before... IF you want, here's 3,4 my personal top advices: don't bring higyenic supplies with you (liquid ones), wear your sweatpants and regular sneakers and NO you don't need to arrive 2 or 3 hours earlier, I always come about 1 hour earlier (PS use the online check in system)... That's all you need to know :) Oh, yeah, check the baggage sizes, it's different from company to company :)

Tsa isn't a PD! They're not nice but actually rude. Be nice or you'll get your same attitude back!

    • @RnR-Rebel

I agree some (ok most) aren’t nice, but I always try to empathise by thinking of how many people they deal w/ everyday who are downright nasty. I’ve seen some deplorable behaviour. You’re absolutely correct; always be polite, respectful & you’ll get the same in return. Last flight I stupidly wore a top forgetting it would beep because of metal beading & the female TSA were so lovely, complimenting me whilst going over w/ the wand! (In general when I get a compliment, I always give a sincere one back. Paying it forward feels good & I prefer seeing smiles!) 🧡🎸🎶⚡️
