    Teens now a days are very smart, they ordered cash app card on their own, and who knows what they are buying online with that. You should make one video on that. They can be using for any online purchases, hope those are not illegal purchases.. e.g. inappropriate sites..etc..

      Cash app has some technology implement to disturb and interrupt certain purchases- places that primarily sell alcohol, dating services, hotels motels.. This has nothing to do with the card though, this has everything to do with boundaries, morals, rules, responsibility and interest.. Not cash app. That’s where the parent comes in and PARENTS their children. anyone could argue the kid just buy those things with cash, or get someone else to buy it for them- regardless if it’s online or offline. Someone who really wants something will get it regardless- that’s why adults who KNOW better, steal from stores and/or people.

      Yes, I made a video about transferring between Step and Cash App and all the same things would apply to Venmo. If someone sends money to someone's Venmo and you want to get it to Step, you would use a Venmo debit card to make a transfer to Step. Keep in mind, though, that Venmo's minimum age is 18 and Cash App's minimum age is 13. This is why I didn't make a video about transferring between Venmo and Step (because most people with Step are under 18). • @SmartFamilyMoney
      @SmartFamilyMoney  Год назад

      Not many banks have accounts for teens anymore. If you have one to suggest, I'd love to hear about it. But the main advantage of Cash App is being able to instantly transfer money back and forth (which is often necessary for teens). But if you're banking at the same bank, you might be able to do it instantly that way. My kids also have Capital One accounts that do have access to Zelle for teens and we actually use that mostly now.

  • @36mpat
    @36mpat Год назад

    If you have a teen who obtained another adult (without your permission) to sponsor a cash app card and subsequently connected it to their bank account without your approval, it is my understanding that this adult is the legal owner of the account and could possibly withdraw money from your teen's account. Other than closing out that bank account and opening a new one for your teen, what other steps can you suggest the parent take to have that cash app account closed? My son got an adult at his place of employment, to sponsor a Cash App account. She has access to his bank account information through the payroll department and was able to link the card to his account. Suggestions??

    • @SmartFamilyMoney
      @SmartFamilyMoney  Год назад +1

      Oh boy, that's tough. Yes, the adult is the legal owner of the Cash App account, BUT if they don't have the password to the teen's Cash App, I don't think they'd have any way to actually get the money out of the bank account. If you want to be completely safe, closing the bank account is probably the best way to protect the money though. (This is just my opinion and shouldn't be taken as financial advice)

      Yes, thank you for the great idea! Your comment inspired me and I tried linking them and it's trickier than I thought. I'll work on this video!

    yeah i would not deposit a cheque into cash app/invest with cash app. i don’t think they are not FDIC and CFTC regulated.
