Thank you … this is so good … Snooky had a phrasing and time that were so uniquely him …. Tip top 🙏🙏 and the band full of love and respect .. great !!!
I met Mr. Snooky Pryor in his final years, when he could no longer play. He became a friend, and I loved listening to his stories. Wish I could have known him in his prime.
The nature of the gig and things didn't allow me to interact with him as much as I would have liked. He was extremely gracious though and so easy to work with, what a pleasure!
He was a hella of harmonica player, in fact I'd say he was the best playing that harmonica like nobody else, he was the first introducing the microphone between and ampped harmonica.
Absolutely sharp!, They play great & I love Snooky's singing & harp phrases. Too bad the person recording it didn't get the [vocals outfront], ha, my typical complaint, Josh Holliday, Orlando, FL.
Josh, this was recorded with a single camera, so no mix, and of course it lost fidelity with the smaller file needed here. An amazing memento and so honored to have played with Snooky. Thanks for your comment!
I love him. He’s the best!!!!! Hope I get to play like him. ❤
This is mighty, mighty fine!!

In VERY loving memory of Mr. James Edward "Snooky" Pryor (1921 - 2006 R.I.P. Gone but NOT forgotten).
He died in 2006.
HI!! I was lucky enough to play drums for Snooky a time or two!! Will never forget it!!
Wow- we are some lucky guys, huh!!!
💜💙
According to Tony Glover's biography on Little Walter, it was Snooky who found the riff that Walter used in his career-defining hit, Juke.
Snooky and Moody's Boogie
Great harp player and wonderful singer.

indeed an all time great! I'm so fortunate to have had the chance to work with Snooky!
The Late Great Snooky Pryor!
Played over 60 years at peak
GREAT STUFF SNOOKY !
Snooky is the boss when it comes down to the Chicago harp sound. After all he was the one that put it there in the first place.
Yes, some kind of talented man!
A pioneer and one of the best!
