To think I was only 7 miles or less from all of this. It’s actually chilling. My house is on a bit of an incline and the canal in the backyard was actually about to overflow into everyone’s homes.
Yeah! I was in myrtle beach for vacation when we got a hurricane warning so me mad my family packed everything up in the morning and left. Smartest thing we’ve probably ever decided to do.
I'm so sorry, hope you are safe
I hope you, your family and your neighbors are safe🙏

I can’t tell if this is a flood, hurricane or tsunami

By also killing millions of wild life

that's pretty much a tsunami
Those big swells are caused by air from the upper levels of the atmosphere on top of the storm being sucked into the eye like a vacuum cleaner, plunging down, and blowing out in every direction around the surface of the ocean . Incredible energy.
I read that the average hurricane releases energy in the form of winds, rain, cloud formation etc equivalent to 400 times the energy used by human on the entire planet.
@@DrCrabfingers that's staggering. Just in comparison they spout a million or billions, even trillions and our minds can't wrap around those numbers. But looking at nation wide there are only (I use ONLY lightly) 3.5 million shopping carts. That is insane to me

How can you recover from this? It’s living in fear and destruction, I don’t understand how people can stay after this, this is part of living in a sinkhole with hurricanes everywhere every year
Terrifying. Prayers for everybody affected by this storm 🙏
Oh here we go again. Your prayers literally go unanswered all the time. You know this to be a fact. Why do you keep forcing yourself to "believe"? Besides if you in fact did truly "believe" in a higher being. It would no longer be I believe. But instead "I know" your brainwashed. The Easter bunny, Santa, tooth fairy, God. They forgot to tell you that one wasn't real either. Way to go throwing logic right out the door.
@@floppinfish he’ll come to you one day my friend, until then keep searching for yourself no need to bash other peoples beliefs 🖤

May your life be filled with serenity, and good news. May God bless you abundantly

The Gulf looks like it's the Atlantic Ocean here. Its incredible that more lives weren't lost. I was in Cape Coral and I can tell you it was terrifying. The sounds that come with a 135mph+ winds are something you'll never forget. Whistling at first and then a droning that went on and on for hours.
I'm in Port Charlotte and just got wind. Canals took care of the water, thankfully.
If anyone on earth thinks that barrier islands were to be populated for the greedy pleasure of human blight, I send you Ian.

My nose hurts looking at this
I was about an hour away from this. By far the scariest hurricane I’ve ever lived through. That’s excluding Charley because I was too young to remember that.
I probably got away pretty lucky because my house didn’t fall apart or get flooded. My damages summarized were basically many lost shingles, terrible leakage in my room (it has to be almost fully redone), huge oak tree was uprooted and nearly fell on the neighbor’s house, lanai screens ripped apart, and lanai door deformed slightly.
It doesn’t seem like much but experience such strong wind for so long was so terrifying for me. To explain where I was exactly in this, once the eye wall reached us, we NEVER experienced the inside of the eye. It just circulated around us for more than 6 hours. I felt like my world was falling apart around me, the big oak tree, the river rapids outside my house, my room’s roof is leaking, it was just awful. This whole experience made me so much more empathetic to those experiencing these natural disasters, because I keep thinking “that could’ve been me.” I had nightmares about hurricanes a few times afterwards, and now I have ptsd. I need to talk to my therapist about this.
These people literally swimming sharks on the streets
It’s so beautiful yet so destructive
If there's an insane hurricane, they're gonna call it 'Hurricane Karen'

wow....I'm quite dumbfounded...awestruck
Absolutely terrifying.

Very sad.
I will never understand why Americans continue to build what are essentially wooden huts in places where there is a high chance of tornadoes or hurricanes.
It’s like they never heard of the three little piggies.
XD I think the same lol lmfao so 🤷dumb. Luckily I live in Florida in a concrete building with a design against tornadoes.... main front door open inwards not outwards the building and has small windows.
Americans are big on denial of reality. Being under-educated really helps drive that lunacy.
Part of the problem is that many of the buildings that are being blown away were built decades ago when storms this powerful were a lot more rare. The newer buildings in these areas are designed to withstand powerful hurricanes but some of the ones that were built 50 years ago just can't withstand the kind of hurricane that has now become nearly an annual event in the US.
indeed
Look at Mayfield Kentucky and view what happens when you build out of brick and concrete. Those buildings were wiped nearly clean.
ive never ben in a hurricane before never seen how one looked so i was so cunfused but thanks for posting this cuz now i know how they look now i was like wondering so thank you for posting this because now i know how they look at we learn about it in science class so thank you so much

Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for?
In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look.
It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world.
We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet..
It's not thinking that'll change things, it's getting off collective arses and doing something.
Somewhat smart. But can't help it. God already said we are set for destruction. Only way is to have somebody with the guts of launching 100 nuclear bombs and destroy it all. It would be the ultimate troll 🤣to God and his stupid little plan of trolling us with suffering. Think about it: no humans no life no worshipping anymore it would piss off the heaven of God. He would have to bother use his power to create life again because if he avoids it he is limiting free will of that person to launch the bombs thus contradicting Himself. Etc etc
That young lady went around the trying to tell people about climate change. But as adults some don't want to listen to a female child. And we're paying a dangerous price 🔥🌊🌀🌪️🌧️⚰️🪦

What happened to the purple streetlights? Are there a lot of new ones? Do only purple streetlights in some locations get changed vs other locations? Can wind even damage them to make them purple? Did you zoom in with a high or medium zoom camera and get the LED pattern. Zooming in dilutes the brightness and allows you to see the UNIQUE pattern on them. If LEDs that were purple are not purple, then that means that they replaced the light with another purple one if the new one is purple. Plot as many streetlights on a map as you can and see. Mercury vapor lights are another good one to look at.
Finally someone asking the real questions
I read an article that it's some kind of manufacturing defect, but it was claimed as such by a manufacturer in another state. I call bs on that. It's intentional. For what purpose I don't know. Maybe it's cheaper to make. Maybe we are running out of minerals to make the lights. Maybe it's for some kind of nefarious purpose. Somebody knows.

Hurricane Ian don’t like Florida or South Carolina
"You have changed the climate of the world. It is [now] changing on its own. It will continue to change. It will produce drought and floods and deprivation. It will ruin the economies of nations that have to deal with the consequences and the events-the calamities that now will be ever more frequent and ever more destructive." From Chapter 3 of the book "The New World" by Marshall Vian Summers.

Other than some business which use landlines to connect their credit card machines to banking networks. No one uses a phone anymore that requires a wire to the home. The telephone manholes are now used only for fiber optic cables which are only 1 inch in diameter. All the cables in the telephone vaults are pressurized and waterproof. Fiber optic cables use only 3% of the space in the telephone cable vault's conduits.

These are the components to create *Homeless Shelter Villages* [HSV] using _Pallet Shelter's_ existing HSV products: the _Community Room_ sells for $37,000, the _Bathroom_ costs $35,000, and the _Services Office_ costs $9,000. So for only $81,000 a city can establish a HSV. The two person _Shelter 64_ costs $7,000. 100 X $7,000 = $700,000. For $781,000 the city can establish a HSV for 200 residents. For $160 million a city can establish 205 HSVs to shelter 41,000 residents.

Extremely powerful hurricane as a cat 5.. and yes, most of you will ask why I said cat 5. It had peaked up to winds that made it a cat 5 when landfall occured. And it dropped into a cat 4 and down to a cat 1. I pray for Florida and South Carolina to recover.
Yup. I was in Englewood when it exploded into a cat 5 over us. We got hit worse than anyone with wind damage. The only good thing was that it blew the water out of Lemon Bay, or there would have been worse flooding than just the rainfall, which was bad enough.
