Hi, how does the bass sound without amplifier? I would like something semi-acustic for home practicing (with a bunch of techniques, including slap and tapping), since I don't want to rely on amplifiers / headphones. But the acoustic basses look a bit too big/uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to find this (fretted) model nowadays, but I'd like to understand if this is what I'm looking for before starting a serious search.
    Thanks!

A real sound of "an acoustic instrument electrified" thanks to the piezo pickup.
With your eyes closed you hear very easily contrabass (double bass).
Not ok for an unplugged use.
      (I got a Fretless one)

The bass has flats on it... can sound much smoother depending on how you play it...

Su un basso così sono meglio delle corde flatwound poi in fondo la miglior cosa è quella che ci piace

Hi, how much tone did you use here? I seem to not get the same sound when i tried it at the store.

Tone knob seems to be turned more then half way. But it doesn't infect the sound so much. That's what I get out through the Focusrite Scarlett without changing anything, so I just take it like this most of the time.
I only played the bass through a real amp one time (smartphone sound quality) : ruclips.net/video/zwJ5hfFP9oY/видео.html
If you want to really change the basses sound, I read a review about this, you'll have to play with the Piezo system on it's back. But I never touched it.

@@piroskakuhn_musician_teacher after watching the other video, i still dont think i heard the same. i might have to check it at the store again. it was a. 2017 model. is yours a 2017 or 2018 one? thank you for the info.

@@rreuno I really don't know. I bought it through Ebay from Italy (!) 'cause it was at a very good price. Don't think they build it anymore. If you like the sound, get an used one anyhow, there are some at reasonable prices.
