I 'm gonna buy a Turbo Yamaha trail sled. I miss my 83 V-MAX 540 for trail riding. These MT Sleds for deep and steep R fine for that but not for fast trail burning

Same thing with very light aviation (paraglider and ultra-light). Motocross. Perhaps some of the lightest and smallest boats... And... in a fully electric car there still might be a range-extender generator that might even be 2-stroke... or not.

The four stroke has to be made out of titanium, stainless, and super light expensive alloys. A two stroke has rings and a forged aluminum piston. Maybe you need a cylinder if you really cheesed things up. That's it! No valves, rockers, cams, timing chains, tension parts etc Advantage 2 strokes 4.A Two stroke because of physics can rev at insane RPM. Because of DECADES! of development with pipes, carbs, ports it can make fantastic power almost off idle, and be very linear because of this development. In order for a four stroke to make that kind of power it has to be wound so tight that only dogs can hear it! They could of atleast used an old yamaha but all the brands are still selling brand new 2strokes just can't bring myself to get a 4stroje sled. Im sure they last alot longer motor wise but just like vehicles, the more gadgets they put into them, the more things to fail and fix.
Yes, those sleds are new.... They also cost 16 k us! And they weigh a ton! I will never own a 4 stroke. Ski Doo or Polaris any day. (Yeah, yammi motors are good, everything else is shat.) If u want a yammi, might as well buy an ac. Same thing, better skis, USA built, better clutches.
man Yamaha really burned on 2 strokes here. Yeah, compare a 2008 Phazer RTX to a 96 Polaris XLT. Just another one of their buy only Yamaha and fuck everyone else kinda deal. I love 2 strokes n all but these new Yamahas took a lot of the snowmobiling tradition away. These Yamahas are great machines, but all i see in them is that these new sleds are for rich people, tree huggers, people who arent mechanically inclined, or people who want a hi tech dependable sled. But, lots of electronics on these things are exposed to the elements. Shit will go down. But when I think electrical, I think someone punch me in the face. Working on electrical components is a bitch, and repairs and electrical parts for these things are very costly.

Every engine has a powerband at certain RPM's. Two strokes have more torce at higher RPM's creating that instant power the moment you get on the gas. Two strokes also have more power then a four stoke of the same size. Four stokes have more torce at lower RPM's Becuce they have a bigger stroke depending on engine size. Both are very good engines but are good for different applications. A two stroke engine is perfect for a snowmobile because it is lighter, more powerful, less moving parts,cheaper to manufacture, and easier to rebuild.Yamaha said that there four stroke is lighter then a two stoke which is a bunch of crap because the snowmobile frame itself is lighter but now the engine that's what I believe makes them lighter. And that would be impossible considering a four stoke has more Moving parts. I'm not saying the four stroke sled is a bad idea its jest very bad false advertising that drive me crazy. Not to mention most yamaha sleds are two stokes to begin with. But hey that's jest my opinion.

I have 2 98 yamaha 700 triples. Insane power. I smoke f7s with ease and they handle like they are on rails. Not a fan of 4 strokes
