Thank you I'm going to give this a try. Tired of getting ripped off because I'm female. I can't believe how automacanics take advantage of females and the elderly. They'll fix it for awhile just to make sure you come back. Paid $441.00 for a replacement of a transmission belt.😢😮😢
Where did you get the new ignition? I can't find it any any auto parts store. Called dealership and theirs doesn't come with new keys supposedly. Have to wait a week for them to get it then go through some nonsense to get some compatible keys with it. $302 just for the ignition without keys. Did you get yours from auto parts store?
Nice...thanx! FYI: This 10 minute thing is typical GM 'relearn'. Also, GM manual says you should at the beginning first remove the airbag fuse and and wait connector 1 minute minimum before disconnecting any wires.
Thanks for showing about the steering wheel adjuster screwing off. I almost broke my covers until I saw a post about that. Watched one video, dude just slid it off like it was nothing, no mention of that adjuster.
I don't understand when you're trying to unhook the wires what's what are you doing with the flathead screwdriver where exactly are you putting it in? I don't understand that part.
Very helpful, thanks! My issue was removing the steering column leaver. It isn’t twisting, and it impedes the lower plastic piece form coming off. Any advice?
Question! Did your new lock cylinder come with the new keys? Or do I use the old ones? If it comes with new ones, then that 10minute deal is to program the new keys?
I got a 2002 Chevy Cavalier I need the Seth on light duty off for good and I got a new Nishan out of another Cavalier and what I have to do I'm stuck I don't know nothing about computerized b*******
Changed my ignition and switch. The theft light and service light are staying on, not blinking. I can't get a smog because of the service light. Any ideas???
I need to replace mine because it won't go back into the lock position so I was trying to watch a video how to take it off and put it back the new one hey help me some but not much thank you very much

A 2200 Ohm resistor bypasses that GM pass lock system. I've had to bypass them for remote start systems..

i wish i did. im no mechanic. just try to do and help where and when i can
I had the same issue, I ended up cutting a long hole to slide down the plastic piece. I tried to remove the tilt lever, no luck.
I had to use vice grips and it was still a pain. Spilling soda all over the dash a while back probably didn't help.
