This was so fun to work on with you all! 🤗 I hope you enjoyed this series that I may continue after some time reflecting on the latest changes. Which outer curtain panels did you prefer (silk or cotton/linen blend)?
Thank you Kim and thank YOU for your suggestion in part 1 to move that console! We are enjoying how that looks! This was so fun to work on with you all and I always appreciate your encouraging comments🙏🏽🙏🏽😊
Love what you do and love seeing the thought processes that go into the experimentation and eventual set rooms (or the temporarily set rooms). It's thrilling to watch. I'm learning from you, Melba! Thank you!
Beautifully designed! I have to smile as I see you change things until it seems right. I do the same. It's important that the scale and spacing feel right to me. I think the linen drapes look wonderful. Don't get me wrong, silk is my love language, but the linen feels good in the space. It's been a long time since I've gone on the hunt for pieces for our home. I appreciate going with you on your trips. Thank you so much for your peaceful videos. Take care, Linda 🦋
Thank you Linda! 😊❤️ Also thank you for your input on the drapes! I am leaning in the cotton/linen drape direction as well (and it seems like we both really like silk haha). I’m so happy to hear that you enjoy thrifting with Suki and I!Have a great week Linda 💕
What a transformation! Congratulations! Regarding paint color, I keep leaning towards a much lighter color than the options on the board. The room is fairly dark and with drapes and short windows there's little opportunity for sunlight or brightness. I keep envisioning the room with light walls for a feeling of openness and airiness. My preference matters none at all. Living with it for a while is smart, and I'm 100% sure you'll find the perfect solution that works for you.
I enjoyed the moody color-drenched green but now I am up for a complete change in the opposite direction with a much lighter color like how you suggest (I didn’t have a paint swatch for that one to put on the board)! Thank you for coming along and for sharing your ideas, I appreciate them! ❤️🤗
@@MelbaMakes I watched this video again last week and remain awed that you have such an eye for what suits you. You're careful and deliberate in your choices and trade up or out, as more perfect items become available. I'm not sure how I found your channel--I think it was the video on how to clean and renew used couches. I'm so glad I found you and wish you an epic and creative run on RUclips!
I loved that you took into consideration Daniel’s design aesthetic too! So considerate. I really like when you put things all in place and then show us your process of adding, taking away and repositioning. Makes me feel better about sometimes taking steps back from some stuff that I do! The room really came together! And I loved seeing Suki and Ollie! Suki was so polite on the lead❤ What a good girl.
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing Suki and Ollie! 🐶🐱Suki even got a treat at Pottery Barn this time! I think Daniel will enjoy having his cookbooks more accessible 👨🏻🍳 thank you for sharing that you like to see that I move things around, its helpful to hear! Happy decorating to you ☺️💕
I love what you’ve done with the office! Also love seeing your doggie and cat!! (Just a suggestion. I go to our library in the “buy old books room” for coffee table boxes. Really cheap. I take off the outside jacket of the books, to see what the real book color is, and chose the book from that to use for decor.) 🙋🏼♀️
Thank you Susan ❤️ and thank you for the tip to find coffee table books at the library, I will give that a try! 🙏🏽 I’m also happy to hear you enjoyed seeing Suki and Ollie 🐕 🐈⬛ 🐾
It's fun to watch the process. Personally, i would paint a light color; this color feels claustrophobic to me. And I would clear some of the surfaces for workspace. Where is the printer? That c onsole is nice.
Thank you Ann! I’m excited to test out some new paint color options in the future and share with you all! The printer is hidden away in the built-in closet! 😀
This may seem weird but I liked your pothos pot when it was in the bowl. I thought that was to catch water and it looked cool. Didn't realize until later that it wasn't meant to stay that way. Everything is looking very nice.
I was using it to catch water lol I’m trying the pothos with that tray or a different tray with a little more depth (I wanted the bowl back to use for succulents). It’s cool to hear that you liked plant pot inside the bowl!
You really warmed up the space with the wooden table. Everything looks great. It’s funny that I never thought of lowering the hem on a pair of curtains that I have until you mentioned it and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
I lowered the hem on accident 😂 I thought the person I bought them from shortened the hem but after I saw this panel at Pottery Barn I’m pretty sure it was just a really long hem to begin with which worked out for me and I’m glad it may work out for you too! 🙌🏽 thank you for your kind words and for coming along for this one Michelle! ❤
This room looks so beautiful. Love it. Everything is so nice put together. The only thing that I would change is to paint the ceiling white. I believe that will bright up the room and open much more. Overall, great job👌❤️
well, I think this project is all done--but here is my suggestions. I would separate the two chairs and put them on each side of the room. I think each of you would enjoy soft seating for a phone call, or to read, or to relax for a bit. and I think the table will look less orange as you add accessories.
I love everything! It looks amazing. I like the lighter weight curtains - agree that it looks better without the secretary desk and without the 2 small pictures. There is something about the rattan hanging lamp that just feels off to me - a little too sixties and seventies. I think you could get a similar but classier option to either have a smoky glass hanging round orb pendant lamp or one or two glass orb or similar type lamps on your console.
Ooo I could see that looking pretty! Now I have to go grab my smoky glass flower vase and put it on the desk with fresh flowers to get a preview of what that could look like 😃 thank you for sharing! 😊
Thank you Patrina! 💕 Which pants? I am going to guess you mean the brown/cream houndstooth ones? I got those secondhand and I see the brand for those is “Tela”
Thank your for your very encouraging comment and thanks for watching 🥹🙏🏽 the pants are super comfortable, I hope you find them or something similar. I randomly found these on eBay in case that helps!
Had a problem with the sound on both of these videos. Very low and I checked and my sound was set at the highest level and wasn't having a problem with other youtube videos.

The woman's head painting or print on your side really shines on its own. The details come out crisp and it's such a great piece.

Hi Melba, waiting for this today. Lovely as usual.

Love the other curtains not the silk it’s too dressy but they are beautiful
Thanks for the input here Susan! I agree with you and also leaning towards going with the other set of panels 🤗
