Good job! Exploring old cemeteries is one of my favorite things. Several of those experienced the Civil War. I can’t imagine how hard that was. I had the honor of marking my ggg-grandparents graves. He was born in 1790 and she was born in 1795. I’m so thankful that someone knew which graves were their’s. Every generation after them had markers.
I’m sure I heard some of them Saying “Schhhh Quiet!! We are Sleeping”😜 As Always another Legendary Clean Up from the Legends that are The Cabin On The Hill🙏🙏🙏👍 Next Up Washing Down all the Headstones👍 I hope there’s Still People like You and your Son to Clear the leaves from my own Headstone when I pass as even in Death I know my Untidiness OCD will Kick in😂
What a difference just by blowing leaves. Excellent work my friend. It's nice to know that people do care about these resting places look and you're one of them and I thank you. Blessing Be
My husband loved walking through old cemeteries and looking at the headstones. He always wanted to research them and find out about the families. You did a good job. I think it would be amazing to go in and gently clean these in the spring.
This is cool, I enjoy visiting cemeteries, mausoleums and historical sites. Nice little twist to a typical residential spot, since I also think these sites deserve the same tender love and care.
It's so sad that the city's and towns are not keeping up with their cemeteries. So many out there in the wood's that are neglected. I believe they do have old Map's of these older cemeteries. We need to keep our Ancestry line going for our future generations. I wish I had some place to see my families plots but in the Azores they dig them up after seven year's and place them in the catacombs. We just have documents to research and obtain. At least here im able to go to the grave and visit my parent's.
Very nice, Robert and James! I’d be willing to bet that there are a few more (older) graves back just beyond that tree line. The trees and undergrowth encroach over time, if not trimmed and cut, and it looks like it’s been creeping closer. I couldn’t help but notice that there were many stones indicating a death date of 1933. I wonder what was going on that year - diphtheria? Cholera? Typhoid? It would be interesting to know what happened as it doesn’t seem like a coincidence… Thanks for the leaf clean-up here. It looks so much nicer. May they all rest In peace.
@@dawnh7620 Maybe. I went back through to catch the dates as best I could, and they seemed to me to be clustered in the fall. I’ve searched the internet for awhile. I can’t find a thing except that so many in Arkansas were in dire straits with no food or decent clothing that year, a couple of years into the Depression with floods and then drought that I feel like pretty much any disease would have carried them off. 😢
I wondered the same thing about all the 1933 graves. Something particularly bad must have spread through that town that year. Death certificates might be available through genealogy sites to provide a bit more information about what happened.
Thank you for setting a good example! I am not a person who goes to visit family in graveyards often, it is an individual choice. However, I do like to visit them sometimes, and any time I do, I pick up garbage, replace flowers that have come loose, etc. I do this for the living, and so that we do not forget the folks who lived before us. I learned to leave any place I come to better when I leave than when I arrived, if possible-thank you, Judy and Jennifer for that lesson.
Thankyou so very much for blowing those leaves off of all those Graves. It makes me feel good that you care for all the living and the ones who have past
Thanks for cleaning that cemetery. There are some channels on ytube dedicated to cleaning old grave stones. Some even tell the history of the person or family while cleaning the stone. Appreciate the work you do for the community.
Robert, y'all changed that cemetery from a sad and lonely place to a cared for final resting place for residents of an old town. As always you do awesome work. God's blessings, love and Merry Christmas to you and your family.💖💖👍👍💖💖
Fun fact, Opiliones (Grandaddy long legs) aren't actually spiders, and they do not possess the glans to produce venom. So the old myth of them being the most venomous (is the correct toxin) is actually not true. ☺️
My grandmother taught us to care for our loved ones plots. I have found peace and tranquillity in our cemeteries and and enjoy cleaning and decorating them. Thank you for doing this 🙏❤️
Old cemeteries are a treasure trove. We have 2 very old ones on property that we own and we try to be respectful of them. Great history lesson. I did some rubbings with dark chalk and brown wrapping paper held up on the stone. There is a special solution to use to actually clean the gunk off of the stones, too. Great job on preserving historical information !
That was easier to blow because someone did keep the grass cut. I love old cemeteries. My parents & I use to ride around visiting them. Thanks for cleaning up the leaves.
You could do a whole channel of cleaning up old cemeteries. I love looking at the dates and trying to imagine what life was like back then. Great job as usual. Hello to the family from Iowa.
We are planning on doing more of these videos soon, we enjoy cleaning up thing that have been forgotten in time. It's really a shame to see things like this never thought a grave yard would begotten. Think you for the kindness and support we love ya ❤
Perhaps you can go to some of these cemeteries and catalog the names that you do find. I know that county cemetery registries were lost during the Civil War so the information would be loved by history, buffs and genealogist.
I couldn't like this comment enough! I love seeing others help educate people of Opiliones! Not only are they not spiders, but they do not possess venom glands! They are goofy blind little dancing creatures. 🥰
It's actually a myth, Opiliones (Granddaddy long legs) aren't spiders and they don't possess the glands needed to make Venom(correct toxin) So they are actually super safe and fun to hold. And goofy when you scare them! They dance to "intimidate" a predator. 😅
I loooooove the grave yard videos they are by far my favorite . . my mom and I use to walk graveyards and read all the stones . . I looooove history 😁

The headstone with the colored marbles touches me the most. - Thank you for your work.
That's a really cool headstone.
Thank you son can't wait to get some work done with you come spring! Miss ya
I’m sure I heard some of them Saying

Next Up Washing Down all the Headstones👍

You literally un-buried the buried (by leaves). What a selfless act, as usual, by two fine gentlemen.
Thank you for blowing the leaves. It bothers me so badly to see old cemeteries that are forgotten and not kept up.

I'm glad you can get out there and do things like this. There is always someone to appreciate it even if you don't hear about it.
Very Cool ,Blessings in the Lord ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

So interesting going into these old grave sites and reading them. Nice leaf clean up you did!
Thanks for the respect paid 😀❤️
Wonderful job,. In showing respect to those gone before. Keep up the great work and Thank you for your kind heart and gentle souls.
Beautiful! A shame no descendants come visit and place flowers… Nice of you to clean it up!
You can buy on Amazon some gravestone cleaning supplies that won’t hurt the stones. It would be a nice job for spring.

Kinda hard to believe that there's a caretaker there but thank u for clearing it up to see the beautiful headstones 🤗😎❤️
I would love to do this! Thank you for all your kindness!💕🙏
Cool how great shape those headstones are in being nearly 100yrs old. Good job.
Great job! That made a world of difference. ❤
It was hard to see the tombstones, but now it looks better! Great job!

Thank You for a great job.... I never knew Daddy Longleg Spiders were the most poisonous!! I see them a lot climbing my house and never knew that 🤔

Fantastic job! Respect ❤👍🏻✝️
Looks better but I think a few good gusts of winds will blow those leaves back. Probably a better idea to suck up those leaves and bag them.
Looks like that may have been the Cornish family cemetery. Quite a few with that last name. Such a treasure!

Thank you for doing that. I love doing genealogy and cemeteries usually hold a lot of information. Great Job.
Nice work guys! Right down the road from my house in Nathan. Thank you for what you do.
We have one here that was next to a burned out church that had dates back to the 1700s. A lot of history.
That was a huge job! Good work.
Good job guy's look's alot better.

Way 😎 cool! 💕
💚👍👍👍
It's nice to see the leave all removed. I wonder how many unmarked Graves are actually there.
I believe there are a few we didn't find.
Nice job😊
Love It!
Kind of sad how dirty those grave stones are. They could use a good scrubbing.
I'm not to sure about cleaning headstones, I don't know enough about it.
Just wanted to say thanks most people won't do that
Great vid
Thank you 😊
I would have brought out the pressure washer to clean the stones too.
Some stones won't hold up to that and the information on them will get harder to read.
@@ThatLittleTexanWoman I use vinegar and a brush at our veteran's cemetery. Gets them looking like new and the vinegar kills the mold to the roots.
🖤🖤🖤
FYI daddy long legs are not venomous. The myth about their month being too small is also false. Also, oddly enough they don't produce a web.
Guess I was wrong thanks for letting me know, just what I've always been told next time I'll look into it better. Thank you for letting me know.
I couldn't like this comment enough! I love seeing others help educate people of Opiliones! Not only are they not spiders, but they do not possess venom glands! They are goofy blind little dancing creatures. 🥰
❤️❤️❤️
I new that about daddy long legs 😺and when I tell people that a lot of them don't believe me lol ,❤️🐈

Very weird to see a video start with a bunch of head stones with my last name.
The people that sold our home were Westfall
Please don’t clean the actual grave stones ! Here is England U.K. we leave stone alone and never clean it.
