    I'm really glad that option 1 was chosen. It was the strongest for me as soon as I saw it! I think seeing the process and all of the moving parts behind the rebrand has been great to see too. There needs to be more out there like this. Love it - Great work!

LOVE that you are sharing this and it shows that you are all human, your brand is human, but you're also a business and going through it just like us smaller creators!     I still feel prefer the old logo and colours. But then again, I also think Convert Kit is more appealing than just Kit - even after hearing the reasoning. It's taking the benefit word out of the brand name. I watched the videos, but i still don't understand why this rebrand had to happen.

      Exact same position. I've just held back being harsh... I really find it an exercise in futility, it really doesn't work as ConvertKit!... even just the word Convert would be better... Kit is way too blank and then way too full

    I love these inside looks, even if I don't love the new name. At all. Perhaps the name Kit will resonate more with the UK market, but I loved the idea of Convert because it represented to me making a sale.

    The new logo and colors look a lot more approachable and geared towards creators, as opposed to big businesses. I appreciate the lightness and brightness of ConvertKit, but the colors of Kit feel more creative, like they belong to a company that understands me and my needs and goals as a creator. And logo option one is definitely more friendly and approachable than option 2 I think! Thanks again for sharing this process with us.

    When I saw the proposals at 3:07 it hit me just HOW RARE it is too see this much detail of a rebrand process. The three initial 'routes' were all nice but they the end result is excellent imo and feels scalable/flexible. I do have to say that when I saw the colors in the newsletter survey they all felt totally wrong, lol. But it was probably because of the lack of context. I don't know if the final hue was in the email survey but it is looking great. Best of luck with the totally easy and not at all time consuming part of implementing this on every single touch point now 👁👄👁

    I love the new logo and overall branding, you guys and Koto did a great job! To be honest, I would've preferred sticking with the name convertkit while adapting the new branding, as kit just feels very corporate and oversimplified. Convertkit felt like a more unique and memorable name for the brand, but either way, kit or convertkit, I love the rebrand overall and I'm certain kit has a bright future ahead 🎉

      Thanks for sharing! We know a lot of people have grown attached to the name ConvertKit.
      The name change is driven by our plan to build the Kit that is the operating system for your creator business. An app store that developers and creators can extend and customize to fit their needs.
      Each business is unique, so it needs a custom Kit.
      But we appreciate you being a customer and being along for the ride, even when you disagree with decisions.

    Congratulations on all your hard work and thoughtful decision-making! I’m glad you went with option 1, as it has more character compared to option 2. However, after seeing your new visual direction, I’m concerned that you might lose the personal touch that your old brand brought forward. The new branding, while polished, feels more mainstream and lacks the organic, personal essence that previously set you apart from your competitors. I completely agree that a rebrand was necessary, but I feel like the changes may have gone a bit too far overall. I truly hope it works out for the best! I’m still keeping up with your updates and cheering you on every step of the way!

    This is the absolute weirdest thing ever. I feel like over the years, you guys have stewed over name and logo for no reason. The name makes no sense. But to each their own.

      For more context, we’ve felt that our current name no longer reflects the scale of our mission and vision.
      ConvertKit sounds too technical and niche, and it doesn’t fully capture everything that creators do with our platform.
      We wanted a name for our company that was:
      → Tied to our mission
      → One word
      → Easy to hear and spell over the phone
      → Not too technical
      Kit checks all those boxes, and gives us a great starting point for building a new brand identity while staying connected to our 11+ years of experience serving creators as ConvertKit.
      Hope that provides a little more context on why we decided to go with Kit!

    I don’t like the name. ConvertKit was a good name and I didn’t assume it meant for Content Creators only. Kit sounds like…meh. And it’s not good for SEO because it’s such a common word. I wish they chose a name that differentiates them better. Even email competitors have another word added that indicates this is an email marketing platform.

      I think that’s the point, they’re not just about email in their future. :) listening to Nathan talk about it on The Billion Dollar Creator, they mentioned their SEO expert looking into that.

      ConvertKit sounds too technical and niche, and it doesn’t fully capture everything that creators do with our platform.
      We wanted a name for our company that was:
      → Tied to our mission
      → One word
      → Easy to hear and spell over the phone
      → Not too technical
      Kit checks all those boxes, and gives us a great starting point for building a new brand identity while staying connected to our 11+ years of experience serving creators as ConvertKit.
      Hope that provides a little more context on why we decided to go with Kit!
      And currently when searching 'kit,' the top result is kit.co which is a company we have acquired in this process.

    I don't think this logo was the best choice... Out of the two, option 2 was better, but it doesn't feel timeless. It reminds me a lot of design elements that's popular right now, and in 5 years it will feel a bit dated... Shame...

    There's an awful lot of navel-gazing on your aesthetic here and not enough focus on making a product that is better for the user.

    I still think the name is completely pointless. No matter how you try to explain it, customers don't understand. Add to that a logo that looks totally interchangeable. Just like colors that just don't go together and actually make the product worse.
