The new logo and colors look a lot more approachable and geared towards creators, as opposed to big businesses. I appreciate the lightness and brightness of ConvertKit, but the colors of Kit feel more creative, like they belong to a company that understands me and my needs and goals as a creator. And logo option one is definitely more friendly and approachable than option 2 I think! Thanks again for sharing this process with us.

When I saw the proposals at 3:07 it hit me just HOW RARE it is too see this much detail of a rebrand process. The three initial 'routes' were all nice but they the end result is excellent imo and feels scalable/flexible. I do have to say that when I saw the colors in the newsletter survey they all felt totally wrong, lol. But it was probably because of the lack of context. I don't know if the final hue was in the email survey but it is looking great. Best of luck with the totally easy and not at all time consuming part of implementing this on every single touch point now 👁👄👁
I love the new logo and overall branding, you guys and Koto did a great job! To be honest, I would've preferred sticking with the name convertkit while adapting the new branding, as kit just feels very corporate and oversimplified. Convertkit felt like a more unique and memorable name for the brand, but either way, kit or convertkit, I love the rebrand overall and I'm certain kit has a bright future ahead 🎉

An app store that developers and creators can extend and customize to fit their needs. Each business is unique, so it needs a custom Kit. We wanted a name for our company that was: → Tied to our mission → One word → Easy to hear and spell over the phone → Not too technical Kit checks all those boxes, and gives us a great starting point for building a new brand identity while staying connected to our 11+ years of experience serving creators as ConvertKit. I wish they chose a name that differentiates them better. Even email competitors have another word added that indicates this is an email marketing platform.
I think that’s the point, they’re not just about email in their future. :) listening to Nathan talk about it on The Billion Dollar Creator, they mentioned their SEO expert looking into that.

It’s also about updating our product philosophy to: → integrate more tools into your ecosystem with additions to the App Store → get you better data insights through advanced reporting → improve usability with ongoing feature improvements. These Kit updates are all about making your work easier and more efficient. What other features, updates, or abilities would you like to see in Kit?
