@@rengeorge9268 Civilian helicopters (like these) have zero armour at all, bullets will go right through the panels and straight into any occupants, wiring, hydraulics, and other core; important parts of the helicopter. Just because they put guns and launchers on it doesn't automatically give it an armour boost and make it invincible.

There's a lot of very well hidden and masked cuts along these sequences. They're so well done most of the time that they're close to impossible to spot unless you're knowledgeable in filmmaking.

It's not really one take, its multiple shots stitched together to make it look like one shot. You can kind of tell where the cuts are. There's definitely cuts at 2:11, 2:48 and 3:30
John wick's sequel was good too... Third one wasn't all that great, I'd say it was the weakest. Then the 4th one was gold. Also, Terminator 2 could very well be the greatest sequel of recent cinema.
I was just watching this thinking: "damn, I haven't seen a single cut in a while, what's going on!!?" The whole sequence from the prison break to the train, I don't think there was a single hard cut. Amazing camera work. I'm in awe! This is what defines Cinema. Pushing for technical achievements.
This whole movie was nothing but stressful. That moment the knife sunk into Niks chest just made my heart sink. I was so worried and stressed for Nik the entire movie.
And that's saying alot, cuz the first was fucking phenomenal too. So much so that it was imo the best action film of the year and is one of my top 10 favorite shoot-em-up/martial-arts esque action movies of all time, (non military/war action movies - so movies like the Wick franchise, the Bourne films, The Raid movies, Mission-Impossible films, or the James Bond franchise). And yet, your correct, this one was somehow even better than the first! Hell, I even liked it more than Wick 4, which was great too - no doubt, but nowhere near as brilliant as so many people made it out to be and is imo the weakest installment in that franchise.

I like how at 3:38 Nik already aiming at the door showed she wasn't sure if whoever came through there would be an enemy or an ally. And despite being clearly injured and tired from the previous fight, she had the trigger dicipline and the conifence to not light up Rake when he walked through.
Please Netflix, we need both extraction 1 and 2 in physical media, 4k UHD with Dolby atmos and Dolby vision just like you did with All quiet on the western front !!
The crew trained very hard to achieve a really different kind of action movie aesthetic and I appreciated the hell out of off-the-rails scenes like this.
What I really loved about the sequel is the character development of Nik and Yaz(RIP) both siblings are equally skilled and capable in their own right and they showed why Tyler hangs out with them in the first place 😎
For action movies specifically; If Extraction 1 was like Batman Begins where it kicked off to a promising "beginning"; Extraction 2 (for action movies) is like The Dark Knight - One of the if not THE GREATEST ACTION FILMS OF ALL TIME!!!

I love how this movie takes a lot of inspiration from some of the best franchises in action movie history and does a good job of still being its own thing. You can see influences from Bourne, The Raid, John Wick etc in it.
Their paramilitary extremists. They aren't operating on conventions so they don't have to worry for being called out. As it stands, the only reason why they were bringing out the big guns was that this involved something as important as revenge and also internal security. The leader's family was at stake.
I like how they have a female character who isn’t obnoxious and holds her ground against those enemy soldiers. She beat them but she struggled a bit, for those chanting “Strong Wahmen” are completely wrong that’s how female characters should act they should hold there ground towards men instead of overpowering them.
yeah she actually didn't brute force them like "strong wahmen" in other action movies, she actually used her small and quick body, pistol and knife to gain advantages against big guys with long rifles

Action movies like this should be seen in a theatre. Netflix released All Quiet on the Western Front for a short period of time so I saw it there. At the very least, Netflix should release Extraction and Extraction 2 on 4K UHD blu-ray where the picture and sound would be way better than any streaming service. They did release All Quiet on 4K blu-ray though.
