Hello Jackie, Hello Doug, so nice to join you on the Lyme Regis today. You found some very interesting items. Until next time Greetings from North Carolina U.S.A.
Hello Peggy. Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed it.
So jealous because I just watched French Lieutenants Woman again
Did you see Sarah and Charles out on the sea wall???
Omg I want to live here!!!!!
It's a spectacular place.

That’s it, deffo need another trip! Loved it last time I went and found my first wonky bottle ❤
It's always a great place to lark.
I recently went to the Dorset button cottage where the lady has the kits and all the buttons you can imagine. It’s tiny but a lovely little place to look around.
We live in a town in Dorset that was the heart of the industry.
Nice finds so much you can learn some of the history. Looked like a nice e day. From shirley from north Carolina u.s.a. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😮😅😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
One of our favourite beaches to treasure hunt! ❤
Lovely video as always x
And ours too. Thank you 😊
I Live in Lyme and many a dry day and tide out you will find me on the same spot. Better in winter as not so crowded as most people are after fossils but I prefer the old Vic dump. That cast iron knob is probably from metal beds as there are many bits of them lying around. Enjoyed the video.
Thank you. Winter is our preference too. Its way too busy in summer.
I think the brooch you found was an airedale terrier. Which is a breed of dog from my area. Which has the river aire running through it ,hence the name . Baildon west yorkshire.
Interesting thank you!
My Grandma was head of the Dorset lacemakers guild in her early retirement years - she taught hundreds of children lace - but before you were allowed to move onto making more intricate lace you were taught to make Dorset buttons! I am quite quick at making them still!!
How amazing!
I love them ; I would love some if you sell them . Used to do a lot of similar crafts with thread ; macrame etc . I have a drawer full of the stuff. Tatting is nice too
Dorset button making is on my embarrassingly long list of techniques I want to try.
@Sea_My_Finds
That perfect round stone looks like a cabochon from a piece of jewelry. Agates were popular in jewelry during the Victorian era.
Nice find!
The square lead seal with the lines looks like a post office bag seal. Kit and Caboodlers find a lot of them.
Thank you.
Nice video chaps, love all the tiny finds, my favourite was the dog and the led seals nice lark lovely place thanks
Thanks guys :)
Quality over Quantity!
Yes we really could do with a bit of rain. Very dry. So dry I’m sneezing dust clouds in our spots haha. Love that little dog pin broach. Ohhh a wonky bottle with fans to boot haha. That’s so nice. when they approach you like that 👍 pocket watch winder is very nice. I’m itching to get to the beach now. Not been for a while. Never found a seal myself. Strange when that happens. Never seem to find them. Then they all come at once. Hope the weather wasn’t too warm, more ☀️ to come apparently.
This was last month so the weather was ideal.
We are out mudlarking on Friday though so that'll be a hot one.
Nice finds
Love to see you finding all those little treasures. That Lyme Beach is now on my list to visit one day. Have a great time!
You really must. It's an amazing place even without mudlarking.
Lovely little treasures to share with us from the beach that keeps on giving! Thank you my lovelies xx Teresa 🇦🇺❤
Thank you Teresa :)
As a young girl in Summer Bible School we made wheel buttons, Thank you for the history because I never knew where or why they were made, it was just a fun craft to make. I had no clue it had a name or the purpose. Finding out it is a real thing for a real purpose I was excited to learn what it really was. The Dorset Crosswheel button was great to learn about. Thank you for taking me on the treasure hunt
You're very welcome :)
The melted bottles would be great for a Harry potter displays
Nice metal find’s thanks for your videos 👍😊💜
Thank you Susan.
The tiny bottle thing resembles a front tooth! Interested in what that is?!
I saw something else round at 9:34 to the left of your pinky right by the rock, another coin? I hope you kept the perfectly round stone it could be used in a ring or pendant. The fool's gold piece I also hope you kept to possibly use for making jewelry. No, that was such a beautiful piece of pottery with the flower print at 18:06.
Thank you.
Hey, great video. I was there a week or two ago.. :)
I'll look our for the video :)
Oh let me make a brew ☕️😊
Great batch of little finds. Boy that clay looks hard work, bring on the rain. I haven't been to Lyme since April and doubt I'll make it there for a while now, too many tourists this time of year. Gonna have to find a new dig site.
Lovely video guys. I would love to have a hunt around there...maybe one day x
You really must one day.
Looks like you need a trowel instead of that hand rake, for prying in the baked clay.
Yes I have one. I'll take it next time.
Maybe a pick-axe!😅
Great video...Can you use a metal detector there?
Yes you can. Thank you.
Bet there’s lots of relics on that beach if u have a detector get it detected
There's way too much scrap there. The Deus would go mad.
Hi what part of the beach is the dump located
East of the promenade.
@@SouthCoastMudlarks ok thank you
The metal dog is to big for a westtie, it looks more like a poodle.
