I was part of that game. Our team was so unorganized we couldnt even get 2 sandbags up at the warehouse 😭
Ended up sniping at u all for the rest of the game from the east.
Thats what truly makes Squad great. When a team loses (contrary to alot of players beliefs) it wasnt because individuals had bad K/Ds. It was either just plain being outplayed or lack of organiztion.
This game mode looks promising. No more back cap running for 10min

Those revive changes are not great imo. Squad have achieve what no other game have, or at least they got it alot better than most. And that is the fear of dying. You don't often see people rushing guns blazing in squad, unless they really need to (or if they don't known any better yet). Why? Because, it is exactly what this mod tried to "fix" that create this feeling. It is such a pain to revive someone (unless you're a medic), and it is even worst waiting for one. Those slow and carefull approach to engagement is one of, if not the biggest, the reason of what makes this game so great (imo anyway). It might not look like it at first, but changing such a crucial aspect of the game will affect it in a big way. especially on the long run, because people will realise more and more that dying, in this game, isn't so bad after all in. Just put a band-aid and you're ready to go without even being really penalize for dying. This is even without a medic, since you won't have a stamina inferiority/deficit. Now this is more of a personal preference, but i like it when i feel immerse in a game. And, for the exact same reason mentioned above, when a "fatal" wound is patched up by a "band-aid", and then afterwards, you can just walk away unscathed, the game lose in term of realism. Now, I know SQUAD is just a game, and it have ALOT of unrealistic aspect in it (ironically, being revive for instance). However, the revive mecanic with the hemostatic gauze "mostly" being properly used was a great touch by the devs. So finally, i know alot of people will say "don't play the mod then you..." but, the thing is, this mod is great in many ways, but not perfect. I am also confident that alot of people Will agree with my statement. But, if this is what most people want to see and keep in the mod, i will happily let you guys enjoy it as it is right now, and play the good'ol vanilla game, in hope that the devs will learn from what this mod have to offer.
The 'miracle revive' really Rolls this game into an arcade ngl, i agree completely with you, theres nothing more conforting than knowing you can simply revive and try again, it makes you lose the fear of dying completely, and that change made it even worse than America Army Proving grounds, the 'miracle revive' forces an arcade style more than ever, the literal opposite of what we aim for in Squad

I don't think so, to begin with, it doesn't make sense that holding a bandage on someone makes then wake up from being unconscious. On Project Reality, it made sense to get people up using an Epipen

@@kh_1984 Demote? I think it'll promote using the medic.
@@matt-ti9ed I think he meant demote in a way as, other than having more bandages, it removes one of the big reasons why you always wanted at least one medic in your squad. They were able to pick people up faster than the other classes. While I like the idea of picking people up quicker as any class this seemed to shorten that time to next to nothing at all thus removing a lot of the tension and thought behind picking teammate up say as a rifleman or LAT/HAT for example.
Played last night and OMG this is what squad needed. Just wish it was the base game and not a mod. Squad is boring as it is right now and that mod is a game changer that is much needed!! Thx Squad Ops

So it’s faster and you’re in the action more....I thought people who play squad aren’t interested in constant action meat grinding play....seems like the mod is making the game more meat grinder than the vanilla version....the mod makes it seem a lot more like battlefield...the “boring” parts of squad are what actually make squad different than other FPS’s.....right??

There is no reason to pick a medic kit since even non-medic kits can revive others that fast, and with 50% health.. And wow, SL gets a shovel? lmao What's with this mod dude.. I'm so worried that OWI could implement any features from this mod to the public version of Squad.
my favorite part was when the dude told karma to kill himself cuz he said there was patch notes for his server already put out.... sad angry lonely ppl man.

Do you recommend playing this game if you never played a hardcore game
If you never played a hardcore game it’s going to take time but if you join a good community of experienced players you will get it sooner or later

I find Hell Let Loose, a WW2 MilSim much more forgiving for casual players. Really easy gameplay and less “enthusiastic “ players, but that’s just my opinion.
Make sure you have a mic so you can communicate with other players and share that you are new. With the right match team players, you'll be guided and have a blast. Communication is key in this game and when you have a good team, the experience is amazing. You'll go through growing pains while still having a great time.
its a good game to start with if you are willing to learn
I was in this match and it was my first HC experience. This makes the game so much more fun and intense! It basically takes out a lot of the boring parts of a match like moving somewhere, setting up a Fob and then MAYBE the enemy will attack in 5 or 10 minutes. This just throws you straight into intense action and you have to be on top of your game!

I think a major issue with this game is PLAYER INDICATORS... not a very good addition when you make teamwork a focus ingame.

I got this game two months ago and i thought my computer can handle it even on minimum settings. So i found a graphics card to upgrade my computer. I put money in the bank ready to buy and it solds out... SCALPERS
I don't understand your comment about mortars being able to blow up radios, you called it a cheesy meta but it makes sense. Explosives should destroy electronic communication devices that are left outside. If anything mortars not being able to destroy radios like you have it in this mod is cheesy. A lot of the changes in the mod are good, but it definitely is not superior to standard play, this mod is just adjusted to cater to your wants. The only thing I like is the instakills being back for certain deaths, the new faction is just reskin with some old vehicles in the mix. Also the suppressors in this mod sound terrible.
Epic games is gonna have this game for free in the upcoming Christmas for the 15 days 15 free game event. Not much of a fan for epic games Bcus of Fortnite but they’ve given some pretty good games.

i played alot of mil sim in arma back in 07 and i guess its gone stale over the years because this is how all of our games went, we would be in the briefing screen for up to an hour lol.
This should just be vanilla squad at this point
haha my squad was set up east fighting that ranger squad. and i peaked over to the mosque and i laughed the 2 sand bags digged up facing east and the 20 un build ones.

Only teeny, minor criticism is I think the bandaging of teammates to bring them back up seems a little TOO fast now, but overall amazing. What this game has needed for a while!
@ゴロゴロ I get it, especially the revive mechanic, but even my crappy, cheap-ass command in the Navy issued us rangefinder binos 🤷♂️ We didn't have to go through some convoluted system to ask our team leaders to place a marker so we could get an exact distance to a target.
@ゴロゴロ If you look at the 13:52 mark when Karma uses them, I think it's just displayed player-side. It doesn't seem to use the normal ping system as it exists in the vanilla game, so it shouldn't clutter up the map for everyone else.

Squad leads should have a kit with a GL but only have smoke markers that would be a neat addition

make sure the filters tab has "Modded servers" checked and also SquadOps team doesn't always keep it online since they are still tweaking the mod, I recommend joining the discord for info on when the server goes up and mod updates. :)
