Been playing so much squad recently... struggling a bit with communications because I have crippling anxiety but I'm getting there! What a cinematically beautiful game!
Same with me. Just say small things, call out where shots are coming from, if a medic saves you say thanks, if a SL gives the squad an order or information say “copy”. People DONT care about what your voice sounds like, I’ve never heard anyone make fun of other players.

I have owned Squad for 3 years now and have never warmed up with it. I played intensely for 20 hours for the last 3 days and what can I say, now I'm addicted. Squad is a fantastic game.
I just wished there was a progression system or something about character customization of something to keep me going.

Like I stated i bought squad, played for the first time last night and watching your videos on it helped a TON. And absolutely gave me an understanding of the game and made my first playing experience amazing and the game is a blast I spent like 5 hours playing straight 😂

A lot of the guys I’ve played with are in the military or served, and they’re very very good at this game. It’s nuts. They always somehow know where people are shooting from, then there’s me, who lays next to them and my other squad members, and crawls around to heal everyone LOL. I just wait to hear if it’s north, south, east, or west and stay away from wherever it is. Still lots of fun!

15:56 Shouldve held that section of roof until you found and eliminated the enemy up top before pushing lower. They likely didnt clear it themselves before re-engaging your squad minutes later.

How toxic is the SQUAD community? Usually when you see videos of gameplay from games that rely on communication you hear this, nice calls, overall nice people. But when you load into one yourself, you get into a game with angry Russians screaming when you don't understand lol.

Playing milsim games is a large part of why I ended up not going through with my enlistment. It's not that I don't want to serve, it's just that I realized how fast shit gets completely out of control when the circumstances are not heavily in your favor. Even with all the best training and equipment, one shot from an untrained Iraqi teenager with a rusty Mosin and it's over. Movies and television and casual games like CoD really do a disservice to the kids who go and join the military thinking it's anything like that when in reality, combat is so much worse and less predicable.

If we were against a legitimate moral and strategic threat like in WW2, I'd probably be more willing to make that sacrifice. But I'm not risking my life for some completely bullshit cause like non-existent nuclear missiles in Iraq.
