    Also - that shot over the water towards the end was pretty dope. I was watching and thinking about the lie and the water lol

    This hits really true for me. I need to focus on what I’m trying to do. not what I’m hoping doesn’t happen. Great tip thanks man

    I really like the concept you are teaching here. Fear/anxiety = bad decisions. Have to learn to trust your shot and think in a positive manner.

    Absolutely brilliant my friend. New subscriber here. One of my biggest problems on the course is exactly what you are depicting in this lesson: lack of self-confidence. Even though I know I can strike good shots, I often don’t because I tell myself I’m gonna F it up.

    I can definitely relate to this video. I'm trying to change my internal monologue from fear to excitement. Somebody pointed out in my work that I'm excited during stressful events and I need to take that same attitude to golf.

      @@FlankerJackChannel exactly! Anxiety and excitement are the same feelings with different expectations of the outcome. So if you already feel excited during stressful events you can easily transfer that skill on to golf

    Oh man this is probably why I only land on the fringe when chipping.🧐. I have a fear of double chips, so I swear any time I grab a wedge I tell myself, “ok Justin, just get it on the green”, in return that’s literally where I make it, just onto the green, right at the edge. I’m now working on telling myself where on the green I want/need to make it to.

      @GolfPsychologist  3 месяца назад +1

      @@adjustin2fishin330 I have that same problem a lot of the time or now I actually need to tell myself to be more aggressive with the wedge in my hand. Because I often feel like I need to be more conservative and then I under hit it where when I'm more aggressive I had a much better shot

    The pros miss fairways, and greens. I think fear is a result of trying to be perfect, and not miss. But even pros miss shots and make errors. Thing is, people don't know that you can still score while not being perfect. Short game and recovery shots, as well as good course strategy, can save a poor ballstriking round. Coming from a +1 handicap here, I've had rounds where I hit 5 greens and shot 75. I've also had rounds where I hit 14-15 greens and shot even. I've had a few 69's here and there, but none of them were void of errors. It's an understanding that you don't need to be perfect, just manage your game better.

      @@Callofthegame247 I 100% agree. I'm nowhere near your skill level but I can attest to having shooting a pretty average round of 85 and only hitting one fairway.
