- Trim roller blinds or roller shades length and width. I cut down Levolor roller shades, but any shade can be shortened or width cut to fit an odd sized window. Instructions will also help to make your own shades or trim down a stock size window shade or blind.

I love these videos. Even if they're about stuff I have no intention of ever doing I always watch them because they're always. so super informative.
Best video I've seen about how to do this. You make it look easy and now I'm confident I can do this myself. Thank you!
You are welcome. If you take your time and are careful measuring the results will be good.
You had a video on fixing home windows not staying open. I watched your video and it was very helpful in resolving my issue. So I wanted to leave this message of thank you and I am now a subscriber. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the compliment and for subscribing. I am enjoying making the videos and helping other home owners. Welcome to Know How Now.
@@Know-How-Now thank you
Thank you so much for yet another super informative and instructional video. You are just so knowledgeable and awesome 😍
You are welcome, Daisy. I'm having fun making the videos. My aim is to make high quality videos.... though RUclips doesn't always reward that type of thing by putting quality content at the top of the search page. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@Know-How-Now aww, thank you, and you are so welcome, and I love watching you and listening to you explain very complex things. I will keep watching for sure ❤️❤️❤️
Love it ! Thanks !
You are welcome!
When you make one into two, how would you create a finished bottom hem on the one that didn't have it pre-finished?
It looks like the factory hem is created by heat. I doubt you can sew it, the holes from a needle would likely just be a perforated tear line. Maybe try folding it, put a straight edge down and run a very wide soldering iron along the straight edge to try to melt the edge onto the shade. I can't say if it would work... I never tried that. If trying to make two shades out of one, the best way would be to buy a wider one and make it two shades. You would have to buy another cheap shade for the roller/hardware.
Informative as always! 👋🏻
I like the work surface you used. Great idea.
Btw, was that a Lee Valley HB pencil? I’ve used those for years and they’re excellent for shop type work.
Hi Mario! It's not a Lee Valley HB pencil. I looked them up, they are high quality pencils.
Great Video.
What is the name of that large blue thing you used to put the shade in??
Thats neat. Where did you buy it?
I have the mats for some time. I think this is what it is. www.walmart.com/ip/Stalwart-Foam-Mat-Floor-Tiles-Interlocking-EVA-Foam-Padding-Soft-Flooring-for-Exercising-Yoga-Camping-Kids-Babies-Playroom-4-Pack/50908185?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=2222222222750908185_14069003552_202077872&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=42423897272&wl4=aud-2225087348107:pla-295289030566&wl5=9007449&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=50908185&veh=sem&gad_source=4&gclid=CjwKCAjwg8qzBhAoEiwAWagLrHXT_LMw_VWVo_UoTCCPCIegL6a80Zeryw6je9in3vHgxO-wKi1vSBoCrekQAvD_BwE
@@Know-How-Now Thank you for answering my question!! :-)
Do you have any intention of giving us a video about changing out a old window for a new one. Step by step please. It will be appreciated. Thx
I have a video on how to replace a steel frame basement window. See link below. At the moment I don't have any other windows to replace. I do have window that has leaking glass. I suspect that American Craftsman does not support it anymore. In the past they have honored their warranty and sent me an entire replacement sash. If I can't get a replacement sash, I will give replacing the glass a try and will likely make a video. Here's the link to the basement window replacement: ruclips.net/video/VPesqDhcABM/видео.html
