It’s UV resin! 😂 You have to cure it in the sun or uv lamp to harden it! That’s what the sun and 5-10min mean. It will not dry on its own. AND the plastic nib is for the top of the ball as a display case for table and finished product 😊 Also you get a table in this series only, not the cafe series.
Nicole I'm so glad that you explained. I have seen so many RUclipsrs attempt this and it becomes a comedy of errors. I don't know why they don't take a few minutes to watch the video. I even saw one woman give up on the resin all together and use slime. LOL I think people are so obsessed with little miniatures that they just want to open the ball and see what's inside.
If you use UV nail gel that means you have a UV light you can use that to help drt them better and faster do you can place things the way you want with out having to wait the long time in-between
@@dixierae3442 I wrote this before she sort of figured a couple things out in the end.. except I noticed she still thought it was partially curing without the sun lol
If you do the gel nails with the UV lamp, you can use the UV lamp to partially set resin and move the elements around to make them look good and then set it fully in 5-10 minutes.
I would think the UV lamp probably could cure it in the 5 minutes or less. I would also think you would need a very good sunny day. Which makes it kindof odd that these were released in winter when it's overcast about 90% of the time.
@@kdscraftcorner Even if it’s overcast uv rays still come through. Mine cure under the lamp in 1-2min. It will definitely take longer outside especially if it’s overcast, but it will fully cure.
@NikiFM214 That's kind of what I meant. A good sunny day would cure it best in that 10 minutes. Where dreary winter might take the longest. I just think the release date was an odd choice all the way around. I do kindof want to try one myself. But I doubt I'd be lucky enough to get one with strawberries which is what I would want to go with my miniature strawberry plates that I use on a teired tray in summer.
Yes please do two more videos. I've already watched all of NerdECrafters videos and am too obsessed lol a UV lamp will turn it into 45 seconds to a minute to cure. From what I've seen there's a learning curve lol
I used to make miniture food stuffs and some full size for props years ago. My "OCD" was screaming at my phone. I get it it's a fun toy craft and not to be taken so serious. But if I can give a few tips to help. They give more, as it can be hard to place small pieces in a pleasing visual way, so you can add more for a time window during curing to solve the issue. This leads to curing window.....I did not have uv resin till much later, and it was a game changer. I HIGHLY recommend using one so you can "tac cure" to help with things staying in the right place and stop sinking issues. It does take practice because you can over cure, and it's over at that point, especially with these small ones. I suggest small layers at a time. Cure, and move to the next layer. It will allow you to place everything exactly how you want, and stop sinking issues. Also, for things that need to stay on top, I say keep a small amount of the bottle liquid, finish the piece, cure it all the way, then place a drop of the liquid (amount reasonable to what your placing...i.e, whip cream, and then lay on top to cure. For things that need some in and out of the liquid on top, cookies, strawberry, ect. Watch your layers, and when you get to the layer you want for the cookie to stop at, add a drop place cookie, hold while curing to keep position, and then add last layers or two to finish, and it will sit perfect no sinking, or moving. I could go on all day with tips, but these few should help a bunch. Also if you have a hard time visualizing the look on your own, then keep the photo right next to you. This way as you work the layers, you will not get lost or confused, and know when to add what, when, and where.
Bunny I would love for u to make a dollhouse with all the mini furniture, lights, etc. I love tiny everything ❤️ this was alot of fun since u actually had to make it.
Actually bunnies turned out much better than I thought they would. I found it very interesting that the resin started to harden just by being under her bright studio lights. Although the UV light that she uses for her nails I'm sure would work very well. I think they just suggest sunlight because they really don't want to ask people to go out and purchase a UV light. I'm sure that everyone that falls in love with these does just that. Something I thought was bad planning was that they released these in the dead of the winter. LOL I would have thought the spring would have been a much more sensible time also they came out after Christmas. Sometimes I think I shouldn't be allowed in the comments section. LOL
I agree with you 100% though. If they're going to release them in the winter it would've been great to have them. Before Christmas. If not, definitely a Spring release 😩
This is so cute !! I love these and would definitely want another try in making these look nice. (ps- I bet the doll community would have such good use for these if they're a good price)

I like them! I think I would try curing them a little under a UV light you get for nails. That would probably work faster?! This is super cute, though!
Thats so cute!! I love them! We have a Sunny Day Cafe in our town that we absolutely love going too! They ask you to bring in old mugs, so every time you go you get a different mug someone brought in.
The small plastic part that comes with the tweezers is the handle for the clear lid. You put the table in the yellow part and then you put your drink on the table and then use the lid so your creation stays dust free.
Just a small note on plastic and recycling: just because a company says their packaging is recyclable doesn't mean it will be recycled! The vast majority of plastic that we put in our recycling bins just ends up in the landfill because it's too difficult and expensive to sort through it, and a lot of companies use 2 or more different plastics in their packaging that would be very difficult to separate. Better to just avoid single use plastics altogether. Do what you will with that information, though, no judgement!!
Governments seriously needs to start punishing corporations for misleading the public and for creating so much plastic without having a plan in place for the waste.
I loved this! I think if they made the top fit the table like a dome, the table couldn't fit inside the capsule ball. Otherwise, I agree it would be way cute! Can't wait to see more! 🐊💜
I was SCREAMING at my iPad 😂😂😂😂 “bunny it’s resin… it’s resin… resin… ITS RESINNNNN” 😂😂😂 lol I’ve never wanted something to be live so much before in my life ❤ but they are so cute I want to buy some so bad
You can actually put the table inside the bottom of the ball and then put the dome on top to display them. The tables snap right in there and it makes a very cute display case. They did think it through 100%.
I believe the little clear plastic bit was to give shape to the inside of each milkshake, then you poor the resin on top. Plus if you keep the bottle in a fridge you may be able to cure the resin in levels to show the ingredients more. Also recommend using a toothpick and when you reach the height you want you can use the toothpick to add a dab of resin then add the whip cream on top so they don’t sink. Could also create a small holder using those binder clips or that metal plucker you had and rubber band it, and attach it elsewhere to hold the bit you want semi suspended in the resin till it cures so looks more 3-dimensional. This looks so fun, can’t wait till I get to the point in life I can buy all the toys I wanted as kid to enjoy as adult lol. You should try some realistic slime where you assemble the slime, I’ve seen some French toast ones and s’mores actually, and even drinks, they look so good and pleasing.
I figured out what the little cap that comes with the tweezers is. It's goes on the clear part of the ball. The ball becomes a showcase for the desert and the clear part is the glass dome! It's so cute! Nerdecrafter followed all the instructions abs that's where it said it! 😄
