I prefer carpet over bare floors in bedrooms any day. I would take care of it with a high quality bagged vacuum cleaner and a once a year visit by the steam cleaners.

Vinyl floors suck bad! They are ok for kitchens and bathrooms, but if the entire home is all vinyl floors, it makes it humid, intolerable.. mold will grow. Then you get breathing issues!
I just moved back into lovely carpeted flooring. Vinyl is only in kitchen and bathroom, as it should be. After one night, my breathing improved by at least 75%. It's not sweaty, funky humid in here.
Never again.
For kitchen, dining, and entryway, you cannot beat real hardwood floors especially post finish select grade hardwood. They have more luster than vinyl plank, and will last a lifetime. For bedrooms, I prefer a high density carpet. Also a carpet spot cleaner is good to have around the house because it’s like a cleaning rag for carpet. Just suck up that red wine you spilt and shampoo out the residue to save the day.
The previous owner had this garbage installed the floor came off dur to desk chair and I have to replace.
Wood or wood looking floor looks nice but it fking sucks if you have a baby. First when they fall it hurts more. Second after you put them to sleep that creaking sound wakes them up. So far I haven’t seen any contractor can install any wood floor without creaking sound. Fking sucksssss
