I agree 100%. There are just these moments in life in which your parents take action and we just take that to heart for the rest of our life's.

To y'all saying she's giving "I'm not like other girls." Y'all definitely don't know her(I mean I also don't, personally) but her statement is completely different to those pick me girls, she's just saying how parents really does have a big impact on their kids personality, mindset, and preference. I wish my mom raised me like how her mom did.

I remember seeing someone's interview- might have been an article- where they first came upon a similar statement of 'teach girls the same as boys' and they said it kind of screwed their head up for a while because up to that point they had not been aware that as a girl they were supposed to act differently or that their experiences with others were different due to their gender.

The world needs more of these chics...big time. I would love to have a girl friend/wife that is like Lizzy in regards to just doing what she wants without the need to fit into some sort of role that society has made up. Nobody has to be Ken or Barbie...nor should they waste time trying to be unless that's their true calling.

Lizzy was born in 1982, now 35, and I was born in 1979, am now 38, as her face is a kind of my face and Jennifer Connelly and Winona Ryder's faces, face that is an insubjectively pretty looking looker, and she's included in one of the most beautiful lookers in the Hollywood history.

It kinda makes you wonder though, were the kids embracing the opposite gender roles because their mother allowed it and they were naturally inclined? Or because on some level they learned that it pleased her to do so, and displeased her to be traditional

the sport she mentions is incidentally a team sport that requires like twenty other players to make up a full team. if no girls felt safe expressing that side of them, there would be no team, so apparently her experience isn't that unique

Thank goodness she grew up before the crazy era when parents started thinking it was smart to let their kids choose their own gender and give them hormones and stuff. She could've been really screwed up.
