Great video, playing and tones. I was on the second wave of pre-order with the QC, so, I have been on the QC journey from the start. I use my QC as my guitar amp and audio interface. I really love the UI and even though there is now a good desktop editor, I find the UI so good, I typically still edit on the unit itself. There are some great amp models and effects for this unit. And it is easy to get a good tone from it. As I don’t have money to swap and trade different modellers, I have had to learn to make this unit work for me… so, in the early days, the tones and effects were not always as good as they are now. If I had to buy a new modeller today, I would still buy this.
Congratulations on 300!! I just bought the Fender TMP on sale at L&M and blown away by it. Easy to use ,great tones and using it as my whole interface it is easy to track to backing tracks, and record a DI for re-amping.
Like the video! I'm a professional player (regular gig at my church, frequently called to sit in for jazz shows and pit orchestras, solo gigs as a classical guitarist) and teacher (guitar professor at 2 colleges in PA). I got a QC back at the end of July and have been loving it. I can tweak my sound at home and bring it with me consistently to any of the many places I travel regularly. It can handle my electric, acoustic, and classical setups and it's really easy for me to prep for any gig. This is my first modeler (been using a handful of tube amps forever up to now in my career) and I found it overall really easy to navigate. Like you said, the relationship between touch screen and physical knobs/buttons is intuitive. I'm a fan so far!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the viewpoint of players that come from real amps. Glad it has been working out well for you. I’m just getting started and looking forward to digging in and making more content about it. Enjoy yours! And thanks for your note!
Congrats on 300! Again, I am so psyched that you got a QC! I loved seeing how you use the QC for recording and using your real amps. Please make a video on how to get your QC working in a DAW. That's one thing I haven't done yet with mine. I'm so glad you are capturing too. Models are someone else's idea of the amp, but Captures are your amp, your settings. I'd love to share some of my real amp Captures with you on the Cloud. I've got Diezel, Engl, Peavey, etc... Hit me up. And keep up the great work!!!
Thanks so much!! You will 100% see em make a video about using the QC as a recoding tool and all the steps I take to set it up. Stay tuned!! Cheers man!!!
You make the routing look so easy. I have had the QC for two months and using it as my audio interface. I have yet to figure out how to re-amp or route outboard gear and/or guitar pedals. I've asked on forums with nary a response -- The QC sounds wonderful but, at this point, based on the foregoing, I think it's time I sell it and find something simpler.
@@LonelyRocker Amazing, still no replies to my thread on the NDSP forums. I am also trying to figure out how to send MIDI clock from my DAW to a pedal (e.g. Microcosm) via the QC. You are the only one who seems eager to assist me - truly appreciate that.
@@LonelyRocker Will you also go over how to "Ping" when re-amping so that there is latency compensation (at least that is what it is called in the I/O plugin in Logic Pro)? I was also looking at your Patreon and I see mentions there of Zoom consultations but I do not see any way to set one up nor the price list for such - can you point me to a link? Thank you.
To be fair, this is nothing new at all. You've been able to do exactly that for 20+ years, taking into account early modelling units. Yes, the level of realism was different. But even high quality amp profiling has been around for over a decade.
Check out the Neural DSP Quad Cortex at Sweetwater!

Thanks so much! It's great to hear you're still loving it! I’m still getting g to know it but love what I’m getting so far. Cheers!
Happy 300, Dan! This would probably be the modeler I would lean towards the most. Great video!
Thanks man!! I'm really enjoying more than I expected I would...it's a lot of fun!
Excellent vid, thanks!
My pleasure! Cheers!
Great video Dan! Glad you finally have one! That Solo II Custom looks good on ya!
Thanks!! I blame you for that guitar ;-)

Thanks so much!! I hear the TMP is getting better and better with each update. Great to see. Of course it's on my list. Enjoy it!!!

Why don’t you hang on. I will be making a video about all of this. Maybe it will help you.
@@LonelyRocker Thanks for letting me know - I will hang on

Does it (finally) have ducking for delays and reverbs? For me, not having ducking was the reason not to buy this so far.
I love my quad cortex. I ve had the helix rack, axe fx 3 and now the QC. For me its all about the captures and the IRs.
In comparison to those two it strengths are certainly its features and ease of use. I'm really enjoying it so far.
My guitar instructor loves this for playing live. Whole set is pre-loaded and ready to go, ties in to the amp/speakers/AV system.
Awesome! It is a very complete system while so easy to use. I'm thrilled with it so far!
